Write the expiration date on the bottle and discard by pouring down drain when the date has been reached. No special disposal requirements are needed. Wear gloves and safety goggles to prevent irritation from contact with skin and eyes. Cleaner/degreaser is odorless and sanitizer/disinfectant has mild bleach odor. Both should be used in well ventilated areas. Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces should not take the place of personal hygiene practices. Be sure to wash hands frequently, for a minimum of 20 seconds. SALTWATER BIOCIDES are cleaners created when electricity is used to split salt (NaCl) into a sodium based cleaner and a neutral pH chlorine based sanitizer/disinfectant. The Student Rec Center has purchased and installed a saltwater biocide generator to manufacture cleaner and disinfectant at their facility. The SRC can provide the two products to other departments on campus, upon request, to be used as part of their cleaning regimen. Saltwater biocides are safe to use and are effective against many harmful pathogens. Like all cleaning solutions, be sure to follow the best practices for storage and use. Use as a general purpose cleaner to dissolve grease, grime and dirt from hard surfaces, vinyl, cloth or carpet
