Our History

Founded in 1960 by two childhood friends, Sal Berritto and Sonny DeMarco, SalSon Logistics

is a classic American success story. Beginning with just two trucks and an empty warehouse,

SalSon has evolved into an advanced logistics provider headquartered in the heart of Port

Newark.

Under the guidance of our CEO, Anthony Berritto, SalSon Logistics has seen tremendous

growth in both the size of the company and the services offered to our customers.

Salson Logistics is an asset based third party logistics company providing comprehensive

supply chain management solutions that span the globe. Our supply chain solutions are

flexible, scalable, and offer visibility throughout the supply chain.

SalSon employs more than 1,200 associates and operates more than 1 million square feet of

warehousing, a fleet of 550 tractors, 1,200 trailers, and 1,000 intermodal chassis.

SalSon’s technology gives you the visibility you need at your fingertips

Data Transmission Dispatch occurs daily as driver assignments are

uploaded into SalSon’s Transportation Management

System

Route Information Drivers log into the system, using a unique

ID/password, loading the unit with their dispatched

routes for the day.

Monitoring Utilizing the unit’s GPS capabilities, both dispatch &

customers can monitor progress in near real-time.

Process Completion As each delivery is completed, route status is

updated, and push notification of ETA is transmitted

to the next stops.

Exception Notification Driver has the ability to capture any exceptions,

appending notes to the order within SalSon TMS.
