Fr. John Paul’s Spiritual Brew
T o Love God with all that we are, and to love our neighbor with this same intention and energy... “is the essence of
what the law and prophets represent.” We are told that this is what it means to be a reflection of God, and the kingdom which God wishes to expose to the world. Jesus speaks of grounding the Mosaic Law in real human actions, so that can it be experienced, and bare a Godly fruit, that has a loving effect in the world. It is this “loving effect” that gives us grace in our relationships, and allows us to take the risks necessary to insure healthy communication, and useful steps forward in our dealings with one another. Thank you for continuing to love the Newman Center. Your generosity continues to help us to build the kingdom in word and deed. Amen!
