As we come to the close of 2016, I wish to thank each of you for all your support you have given to the parish; to me, the priests and our Deacons. Your prayers, kindness and parish participation help us to continue our ministry to you, sharing the love of Christ, the Good Shepherd.

Your support in the form of time, talent and treasure and trust, is an important part of your support, not only for us priests and deacons but also for the home we all share, St. Polycarp Church and School. We have had many collections, (opportunities to give) in 2016, and your patience and generosity show how much each of you values the many blessings you have received from God.

We journey together, always, to make this wonderful parish successful and holy. May the love and the joy of the Baby this Christmas season bring us all closer together in love and in service to one another. May the grace the Lord wants to give each of us in 2017 bring us all closer to Him. May we come to know, love and live our Faith as we share the Good News with others (Evangelization!) and generously give thanks to God for His blessings to us by giving of our time, talent and treasure (that’s Stewardship!).

FAITH FORMATION UPDATES

Faith Formation Office hours are: Monday-Thursday 3pm-6pm and Saturday from 9am-12pm 714/ 892-3158.

We invite all Faith Formation families to take part in all the Advent activities here at St. Polycarp. We’ll have the Posadas now through December 23. Please look for signs posted around the church as well as in the bulletin for more information.

Adult Confirmation Classes The sacrament of Confirmation perfects Baptism and completes the Sacraments of Initiation. Confirmation is the Sacrament of spiritual maturity, giving us the grace we need to participate in the public ministry of the Church.

If you were raised Catholic, but missed this important Sacrament, please join us for our adult Confirmation program. Classes begin at the end of January. For questions, registration and more information about this program please contact the Faith Formation Office at 714/892-3158.

Casino trips are Family Support Center's only fundraisers. These funds, and donations from the community, are our only source of income. Family Support Center is a self-sustaining ministry. Your support is needed

to keep our programs going! FSC is a satellite office of the Santa Ana Life Center. FSC provides information, and referrals for assistance. Life Center is always in need of regular size towels and face cloths. Used maternity clothes,baby clothes, and other baby items such as diapers are also needed. Please consider donating any extras you may have. We are not able to accept food donations. All donations are Tax Deductible. FSC delivers all donations to the Life Center.

PSA... Lord God, You have called us to be faithful and wise stewards whom You have set to watch over Your household. Increase our gratitude for Your many gifts to us. And from your blessings, may we joyfully share Your Gospel so that others will know the outpouring of Your Love. May we each be blessed for doing our share of Your work while awaiting that great day of the Lord, Your Son, until he comes again. Amen.

Clases de Confirmación de Adultos El sacramento de la Confirmación perfecciona el Bautismo y completa los Sacramentos de la Iniciación. A mi familia de San Policarpo,

Nos aproximamos al final del año 2016, quisiera agradecer a cada uno de ustedes por el apoyo que le han dado a su parroquia; a mi, a los otros sacerdotes y a los diáconos. Sus oraciones, bondad, y su participación en la parroquia nos ayuda a continuar con nuestro ministerio para ustedes, compartiendo el amor de Cristo, el Buen Pastor.

Su apoyo, su tiempo, talentos y confianza son partes importantes en su apoyo, no solo para nosotros los sacerdotes, y diáconos, pero también para la casa que compartimos, La iglesia y la escuela de san Policarpo. Hemos tenido muchas colectas , (Oportunidades para donar) en el 2016, y su paciencia y generosidad muestran como cada uno de ustedes aprecia las muchas bendiciones que han recibido de parte de Dios.

Estamos juntos es la jornada, siempre para hacer ésta maravillosa parroquia santa y exitosa. Que el amor y el gozo del niño Jesús nos una más en su amor y servicio a los demás esta Navidad. Que la gracia que el Señor en éste año 2017 nos una más con El. Y que todos conozcamos el amor y vivamos nuestra fe al compartir la Buena Nueva con otros. (Evangelizando!), y dando gracias a Dios por las bendiciones que nos ha dado, ofreciéndole nuestro tiempo, talentos y tesoros. (Eso es discipulado).

Les deseo un feliz, santo, y un feliz año 2017 lleno de salud y paz a todos ustedes familia de San Policarpo, y a todo el mundo.

Aún tenemos tiempo antes de que termine éste año, para que usted haga su promesa y su pago, para compartir una pequeña porción de las muchas bendiciones que Dios ha derramado sobre usted y sus seres queridos. El Señor no puede hacer esto ni bendecirle si usted no hace la parte que le corresponde en ésta parte del mundo la cual nosotros llamamos Diócesis de Orange. Gracias por sus oraciones al considerar su participación en nuestra campaña pastoral antes del 31 de diciembre. Y recuerde que hoy todas las promesas de P.S.A que usted haga, irán directamente a San Policarpo. Gracias nuevamente a todos los que ya han participado.

Señor Dios, nos has llamado a ser fieles y sabios discípulos, y a quienes has puesto para que cuidemos de tu pueblo. Ayúdanos a ser agradecidos por los muchos regalos que nos has dado y por todas las bendiciones, que con gusto compartamos Tu Evangelio para que otros conozcan tu amor, y que todos seamos bendecidos al hacer nuestra parte mientras esperamos el gran día del Señor, tu Hijo, hasta el dia en que El regrese. SỨ MẠNG CỦA GIÁO XỨ.

Giáo xứ Thánh Polycarp may mắn có nhiều nền văn hóa và sự sống động của các chương trình mục vụ khác nhau của các cộng đồng giáo dân, điều này đem đến một làn gió thánh thiện chào đón mọi người, đặc biệt là giới trẻ, là những người mong muốn có một đời sống đạo sâu xa hơn với Chúa Giêsu Kitô. Như là những môn đệ của Chúa, chúng ta giúp cho những người nghèo đói, đây là cuộc hành trình đức tin dành cho các anh chị em chúng ta trên con đường sống đạo mới với niềm hy vọng và lòng can đảm, trong một công việc bác ái an toàn và vui vẻ.

Ngoài ra, trong giờ lần chuỗi chiều Thứ Sáu đầu Tháng có mở cửa Nhà Tạm chầu Thánh Thể và Khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót. Các ngày Thứ Sáu trong tháng có khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót. Các ngày trong tuần, bất cứ ai có nhu cầu xin cầu nguyện đặc biệt khẩn, xin điện thoại về số (714) 539-4954 và để lại lời nhắn. Rất nhiều người xin đã được ơn như ý hoặc các ơn lành khác. Kính mời Cộng đoàn xa gần cùng đến tham dự. Thân gởi Gia đình Thánh Polycarp, Trong khi chúng ta cho đang sống những ngày cuối năm 2016, xin thay mặt các linh mục và phó tế, tôi muốn cảm ơn sự hỗ trợ của tất cả quý vị đã đem đến cho Giáo xứ chúng ta; những lời cầu nguyện, lòng chân thành và sự tham gia của quý vị giúp cho sứ vụ của Giáo xứ, chia sẻ tình yêu của Chúa Kitô, đã hỗ trợ tốt cho các vị Chủ chăn. Qua các phương tiện như thời gian, tài năng, của cải và lòng tin, sự hỗ trợ của quý vị là một phân quan trọng, không chỉ cho các vị linh mục và phó tế mà còn cho toàn thể gia đình Thánh Polycarp chúng ta, Giáo xứ và trường học St. Polycarp. Chúng ta đã có nhiều tuyển chọn (cơ hội để cung cấp) vào năm 2016, và với sự kiên nhẫn và lòng hảo hiệp của quý vị đã nói lên niềm tin và coi trọng ơn lành của Thiên Chúa đã ban cho quý vị. Chúng ta hãy luôn luôn đồng hành với nhau, để làm cho Giáo xứ thật tuyệt vời trong thành công và thánh thiện. Mong tình yêu và niềm vui của Chúa Hài Đồng Giêsu trong mùa Giáng Sinh năm nay sẽ mang tất cả chúng ta đến gần nhau hơn trong tình yêu và tinh thần thương phục vụ cho nhau. Nguyện xin ân sủng Chúa luôn tuôn đổ xuống cho mỗi người chúng ta vào năm 2017 để đưa tất cả chúng ta đến gần Ngài. Từ ân sủng đó, chúng ta sẽ mang Tình yêu và Đức tin để chia sẻ Tin Mừng đến người khác (loan báo Tin Mừng!) và hân hoan dâng lời cảm tạ Thiên Chúa vì ơn lành của Người đã ban cho chúng ta, đó là thời gian, tài năng và của cải (mà chúng ta đang quản lý!). Xin kính chúc toàn thể quý vị luôn luôn hạnh phúc, thánh thiện, khỏe mạnh và an bình trong năm 2017. Trân trọng và biết ơn đến tất cả quý vị, Cha Chánh Xứ Michael.

THÔNG BÁO CỘNG ĐOÀN.

1- Giờ chầu Thánh Thể thinh lặng.- Xin Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa lưu ý: Giáo xứ có giờ chầu Thánh Thể thinh lặng từ 3giờ30 đến 5giờ vào mỗi chiều Thứ Bảy trong tuần. Xin kính mời Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa cùng đến tham dự giờ chầu Thánh Thể nêu trên. 2- Không Giải tội các tối Thứ Hai trong Mùa Vọng.- Vì các Cha trong Giáo xứ sẽ đến các Giáo xứ khác để giải tội luân phiên, nên sẽ không có các giờ xưng tội từ 7giờ30 tới 8giờ tối Thứ Hai trong suốt Mùa Vọng. 3- Ngày Giáo Xứ chầu Thánh Thể.- Giáo xứ chầu Thánh Thể vào Thứ Năm ngày 22 tháng 12 năm 2016. Cộng đoàn sẽ có 2 giờ chầu: lúc 3giờ chiều do Hội Cầu Nguyện phụ trách và 8giờ tối do Liên Nhóm Cursillo phụ trách. Kính mời Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa sốt sắng tham dự. 4- Chương trình lễ Giáng Sinh của Cộng đoàn.- Chương trình Lễ Giáng Sinh của Cộng đoàn như sau: * Thứ Bảy ngày 24 tháng 12, lúc 6giờ 30 có trình diễn hoạt cảnh Giáng Sinh, do các em các lớp Giáo lý của Cộng đoàn phụ trách, sau đó là Thánh lễ Vọng Giáng Sinh. Sau Thánh lễ có phát hành lịch năm 2017 và CĐ 3 ngày tĩnh tâm kỷ niệm Ngân Khánh của Cộng đoàn, do Cha Nguyễn Khắc Hy giàng thuyết. * Chúa Nhật ngày 25 tháng 12, 4giờ chiều, Thánh lễ mừng Chúa Giáng Sinh, sau Thánh lễ Ông Già Noel có phát quà Giáng Sinh cho các em nhỏ. Xin xem tờ quảng cáo để biết thêm chi tiết. 5- Chúa Nhật Thứ Tư trong tháng 12/2016, sẽ không có Rửa Tội bằng tiếng Việt.- Ngày 25 tháng 12 năm 2016 là Chúa Nhật Thứ Tư trong tháng. Tuy nhiên ngày này cũng là ngày đại lễ Mừng Chúa Giáng sinh, nên Cộng đoàn sẽ không có Rửa Tội bằng tiếng Việt. Xin quí cha mẹ ghi danh cho các em Rửa Tội vào ngày 22 tháng 1 năm 2017. 6- Buổi sinh hoạt của Huynh Đoàn Đaminh.- Huynh Đoàn Đaminh Vinh Sơn Liêm của Cộng đoàn sẽ có buổi sinh hoạt vào 2giờ chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 25 tháng 12 năm 2016 tại phòng họp thường lệ. Kính mời các Đoàn viên tham dự đông đủ. 7- Cộng đoàn phát hành lịch năm 2017.- Cũng như các năm trước, năm nay Ban Thường Vụ đã cố gắng tìm nhà bảo trợ để thực hiện Lịch 2017 riêng cho Cộng đoàn. Lịch đã được đặt in ấn và dự trù sẽ phát hành vào ngày 24 tháng 12 năm 2016. Xin các gia đình trong Cộng đoàn đón nhận làm món quà đầu năm của Cộng đoàn gởi tặng đến mọi gia đình trong Cộng đoàn. 8- Cộng đoàn sẽ phát hành CD tĩnh tâm mừng Ngân Khánhcủa Cộng Đoàn.- Trong dịp mừng Ngân Khánh Cộng đoàn vừa qua, Cộng đoàn đã tổ chức một cuộc tĩnh tâm vào 2 ngày 2 và 3 tháng 9 năm 2016, do Cha Nguyễn Khắc Hy phụ trách và có ghi lại phầm giảng thuyết của ngài. Phần giảng thuyết được tóm gọn trong 1 CD và sẽ phát hành vào dịp lễ Giáng Sinh năm nay. Xin Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa đón nhận 9- Cộng đoàn lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót.- Để đáp lại Mạc Khải Lòng Chúa Thương Xót, Cộng đoàn đã tổ chức lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót vào lúc 3 giờ chiều mỗi ngày

Xin chân thành được nhắc nhở... vui lòng biết rằng sự đóng góp mỗi Chúa Nhật của quý vị cho giáo xứ chúng ta, trong suốt những tháng mùa hè. Chi phí hàng ngày của Giáo xứ vẫn tiếp tục trong cả năm. Bao gồm mùa hè hay mùa đông, mùa xuân hoặc mùa thu. Thậm chí là chỉ mất một tuần đóng góp là đã thật sự ảnh hưởng đến ngân sách của chúng ta. Chân thành cảm ơn sự rộng rãi của quý vị.

PSA ... Lạy Thiên Chúa, Ngài đã kêu gọi chúng con hãy là những người quản lý trung thành và khôn ngoan mà Chúa đã chọn trông coi gia đình của Ngài. Xin cho chúng con thể hiện lòng biết ơn của chúng con qua những ân sủng Ngài đã ban. Và từ ơn lành của Ngài, chúng con hân hoan chia sẻ Tin Mừng của Thiên Chúa đến những anh chị em khác qua tình yêu dạt dào của Ngài. Qua việc chia sẻ của cải của mình, mỗi người chúng con được chúc phúc, trong khi chờ đợi ngày Người Con của Ngài đến, và cho tới khi Người trở lại. Amen.

Hiện nay vẫn còn thời gian trước khi kết thúc năm quý vị thực hiện sự cam kết của mình và hoàn tất sự chia sẻ của mình mà Chúa đã ban cho chính chúng ta và cho những người thân yêu của chúng ta. Chắc chắn Thiên Chúa sẽ không thua kém sự rộng lượng và việc chia sẻ của chúng ta cho công việc trùng tu Giáo Phận Orange, môt phần trong công trình của Người trên quả đất này.
