My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the
Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

14th Sunday in Ordinary Time The Liturgy of the Word First Reading Book of the Prophet Zechariah Thus says the LORD: Rejoice heartily, O daughter Zion, shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem! See, your king shall come to you; a just savior is he, meek, and riding on an ass, on a colt, the foal of an ass. He shall banish the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; the warrior’s bow shall be banished, and he shall proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Responsorial Psalm I will praise your name for ever, my king and my God. Second Reading Letter of St. Paul to the Romans Brothers and sisters: You are not in the flesh; on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit that dwells in you. Consequently, brothers and sisters, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Gospel The holy Gospel according to Matthew At that time Jesus exclaimed: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
FOCUS: Jesus’ kingship is one of mercy with humility and compassion for all who struggle. In the kingship of Jesus, we celebrate his humility and gen-tleness, and in a particular way, his understanding of the blessings of children. His dominion is not one of power and control, but of a servant who lifts up the fallen and raises all who are burdened; he is gracious and merciful. LITURGY OF THE WORD: Zechariah tells Jerusalem to rejoice, for their king shall come to them riding on a colt, proclaiming a message of peace to the nations. Saint Paul instructs the Romans that whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. In the Gospel, Jesus gives praise to the Father for what he has revealed to the little ones.
We could use 6 to 8 people to help clean the pews after the daily Masses (6:30 & 8:30am) and after each Mass on Satur-day and Sunday. It will take about 20 minutes of your time. If you would like to help, please contact Chris Rauscher-King at 215-722-8624.
PREP Parish Religious Education Program We are in need of volunteer PREP teachers for online instruction for the 2020-2021 school year. At this mo-ment, classes will take place online and not in the classroom and teachers will be instructed how to do virtual classes. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the rectory at 215-725-1240.

Prayer for Priests Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen.
Second Collection In a letter from Archbishop Nelson Perez, he is asking for our support of the annual collection for the Catholic Cam-paign for Human Development (CCHD). This year com-memorates 50 years of assisting poor and disadvantaged members of our local communities. By helping those who are poor and powerless to participate in decisions and actions that affect their lives, CCHD offers a hand up, not a hand out, helping the most vulnerable members of our communities. In our country today, nearly one of every six Americans, and one of every five children live in poverty. This grow-ing gap between those who are financially secure and those who are not now includes many middle-class fami-lies who have been adversely impacted by the economic consequences of the current pandemic. More than one in four residents in our region now suffers from insecurity about their income, food, or health care. The annual CCHD collection is being taken up today. Your contribution will help your neighbors near and far to realize a better future for themselves and their families. God bless you for your generous response to this year’s appeal.
Prayer for America Dear God, We thank you for the bountiful blessings you have bestowed on us. Guide us in being good stewards of these gifts. Let us care for all of your beautiful creation, from the redwood forests to the gulfstream waters. Make us instruments of your peace in order to put an end to rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air. Help us to love and care for all of our neighbors ~ locally and globally so that we might be truly crowned with brotherhood from sea to shining sea. Amen.
