Foundation & History

Sahra Petroleum Limited is part of SahraGroup, a collection of companies providing complementary services to oil, gas, mining and power companies and their related industries. Sahra was founded by Rashid Alkaff in Sana’a, Republic of Yemen, in 2006. It began as a small group of professionals providing legal, technical and financial consultancy and advisory services to the petroleum, minerals and power industries. These services are still provided by Sahra Petroleum Consulting, an affiliate of Sahra Petroleum Limited.

Drilling Rig Services & Jackup Rigs & Services We offer our clients access to an extensive provision of contract Drilling rigs and Jackup rigs, workover services, camps, rental equipment and support services provided by our skilled and experienced personnel. We provide a complete drilling service operations package, from location engagement or Environment Impact Assessment (EIA), to drilling execution.

Mobilise EquipmentOur rig teams can mobilise equipment and services to meet the tightest of deadlines, and our goal remains to provide a superior service at a competitive price.

Our civil construction services include: • Site preparations for rigs and oil wells• Site levelling, watering and compaction• Construction of cellars for rigs, sumps, fencing and gates• Construction of water pits for drilling rigs• Earth works, including construction of cutting pits, flare pits and garbage pits• Construction of sewage systems• Water trucking and road spraying• Road construction and maintenance• Laying of concrete foundations• Erection of buildings, rooms and fences
