Home Page Above the Fold

The quick escape bar remains unchanged from my prototype, however I have added the black bar above it for social media icons, the Spanish link, as well as a permenant and easy-to-find place for the hotline number.

The main image is full screen, and has taken quite of a few turns since my mock-up. Personally, I like it, but it’s definitely bolder than I had in mind, so I’m interested to hear your opinion.

Home Page Below the Fold

Because they are so important, I decide to have both the black bar and the quick es-cape bar scroll with the page.

Give, Volunteer, and Get Help are the calls to action on this page of the homep-age. However, my theme functionality would not allow me to only have four. I felt this would be a good place for the mission statement, search bar, and e-newsletter subscription information. I tried to set it apart using my best judgement, but would be open to suggestions. The red buttons link to a page showing all posts/pages for a catergory. For example, clicking the red button “get help” would show one page with excerpts from all pages categorized under “get help”. The black buttons are for the most important action under each category. Contact Us for Get Help, Apply for Volunteer, and Donate Online for Give. These are simply direct links.

Get Help Main Page

This page automatically adds all pages under the Get Help category. I created pag-es, but didn’t fill them all with content, so this page appears a little incomplete. I would also like to increase the amount of words shown from each subpage, but I be-lieve that is a PHP issue, so I’m going to do my best to get it figured out for Monday!

Single Page Above the Fold

Single pages will have the sidebar of other links in their corresponding main cate-gory for easy navigation. Good news is, it’s incredibly easy to manage, so you should have no trouble adding pages in the future. Images are also very easy to add. They are optional of course.

Forms

In case you were wondering where the logo and navigation are, I simply scrolled down so you could see the entire page in one screenshot.

Sumitted forms will appear under messages in your Wordpress menu. In addition, form building is also built in to the Wordpress, so if you ever need to create new forms, you can do so without even touching or writing any code!
