From a converted 6 foot x10 foot storage room, to an Atco trailer, to newly created of-fices, reception, lunch and computer room, Streamline Calgary is incredibly happy. Moving from their old location in May 2012 to a new, bigger facility, this Team knew they not only needed more product to justify the change, but were requiring some changes as well. Early June the spectacular offices were moved into, phone lines set up, and business
continued at an even faster pace. Beginning June 1st, Pacific Coast began a new journey and process within the Hi-Way 9 system, starting with the Streamline terminals. Receiving an average of eight loads a day, this freight is processed and distributed to the ap-propriate final locations within Alberta. The majority of freight (about 80%) is actually deliv-ered to the final destination on a Hi-Way 9 Group of Company truck. Adding an additional computer system and nine new employees (and seeking more), this account has proven to fold into the Hi-Way 9 processes effectively as Team 9 handles this freight to its locations overnight as required. Congratulations to the Streamline Calgary Team on your well-deserved new office facility. Its professional and efficient structure are sure to provide you with the tools to continue to succeed and grow in the years to come.
Wayne Linde, left, Streamline’s Operations Manager, is all smiles while working in the new offices.
Lloyd Ziegler
Load-Way Drumheller Arriving at Hi-Way 9 in October 2009, Lloyd began the Drumhel-ler Same-day route and highway position. Realizing an opportu-nity that would be a challenge and yet accomplishment for this Team 9 member, he accepted the position of Long-haul Western Canada Load-Way Driver. This division is not cut out for every driver, as it requires independent thinking, solidarity, and the abil-ity to think on your feet. Fortunately Lloyd holds these qualities and then some.
Always accepting a challenge, Lloyd appreciates the friendly Team 9 members he works with. Knowing he is not just a num-ber but a valued person, is an attribute deeply valued by this sea-soned driver.
The man behind this smile is a character of quality and excel-lence. He is an incredibly hard worker but ensures his sense of
humor takes the edge off what can be a stressful position at times. Lloyd can be called “the complete package” as his reliability combined with his character attributes proves to his Team leaders and fellow employees that he is a definite credit to Hi-Way 9 Group of Companies. Thank-you Lloyd!

THANK-YOU! John Mckay OF
Streamline Edmon-
ton does a great
job with John
Deere. The thou-
sands of pieces of
freight that travel
across his dock is
amazing. On this
specific day Claire
went to help with
the LARGE vol-
umes of freight due to seeding season.
Team 9 is so proud to see the hard work the team puts in
to help ensure everything runs so smooth. We are all
ramping up, but so far this year there has been a large
decline of missing freight tracing requests.
Thanks!
Jennifer Estell-Streamline Edmonton
Teamwork is extremely important to help minimize Hi-Way 9’s claims. Lately it seems we are having more claim issues, thus upsetting our customer base. Team 9, we must work together and get back on track, continuing to be The Carri-ers that Care. Driver employees must make sure we properly identify any damage to the
freight on our paperwork prior to us receiving the freight. Dock employees must be very careful on counts and damages, ensuring we follow our processes in regards to paperwork. Office employees must be sure to get the proper info into the sys-tem for pick up and delivery and have paper work ready to go when necessary. We are family, each an integral part of this machine and all are very important to the success of Hi-Way 9.

With the traffic checks continuing to happen through the province, Team 9 needs to focus on the issues that usually lead to an out of
service or a require attention: Load Securement, brakes and tires, lights, documen-tation and steering linkage issues. Keep doing those pretrips- making sure that these issues are ok before leaving the depot and starting your day .Use your stan-dard 13 as a guide- it is in your red documentation folder in all the trucks. Also all trucks should have the new insurance card in the folders too, ensure you do . With the end of the school year rapidly upon us, we all need to be looking for the distracted walker – eyes on the phone – ear buds in – not looking where they are going. There was an-other tragedy in southern Alberta – a 16 year old girl did not make it home. Lets keep an eye out for this situation – also let’s talk to our kids too about it –show them the video “the last text”- let’s keep them all safe !! Take care team !

Miles Storr–Edmonton-Today you were sent to deliver sev-eral pieces of large John Deere freight to Vermillion, Vegre-ville and Lloydminster. Not only did you do these deliveries, you also were directly responsible for exceptional customer service. Your extra effort in helping a fellow terminal and pick-ing up freight from a customer in Lloydminster with very short notice; you reinforced why we are “The Carriers That Care”. Keep it up!
Elmer Draeger-Red Deer-Today you did a delivery for a gentleman who just had major surgery and was released yes-terday. You took it upon yourself to take the freight inside and placed it where the customer wanted it. Outstanding cus-tomer service and truly caring for your customers. Well done and keep it up.

Good Day all… took almost a year (July 1, 2013) but I am
happy to report (not to jinx it) the incontinence order (all 4 pal-
lets) arrived on time (before 8am actually) this morning. All
pallets were clearly marked, fit easily through our doors, and the
driver (James Stebanuk-Streamline Calgary) as always was
SPECTACULAR!!!!
The warehouse also included an extra pallet of med supplies;
which James had no issue with what so ever! James is not only
professional, friendly and exceptionally hard working, but also
very much aware of our residents; particularly on our East de-
mentia wing. He makes a point of always keeping an eye on the
doors in the event one of our residents might be wandering.
Such an amazing representative to the Cardinal Health team!!
Thank you every one!
Wishing you all a great rest of the day!

Unpredictable Alberta weather can prove a bit of a challenge for the Team 9 pride program, but there are many that will not be deterred from their goal-proving not only to them-selves, but the general public that Hi-Way 9 truly is “The Carriers that Care”. And the most obvious way to prove this fact, is by the visual pres-entation in how Team 9 looks –with their units and personal appear-ance. With Team 9 caring about their pride, it is proof they are that much more “care-ful” with their custom-ers’ products. Congratulations to Debbie Cooper of Team 9 Edmonton. You will be re-ceiving a new jacket as recognition for this month’s Pride winner.
