Use the Venn diagram to help define how the role of the coach will look in relationship to the role of the principal.

Principal Coach

Protocol for discussion:Independent Brainstorm - Silent 5 min.Coaches and principals spend time brainstorming the various tasks completed by either coaches, principals, or both.

Partner Share - 10 min.Each principal and coach presents their version of the Venn diagram, justifying the positioning of each task. Open reflection on the thinking this exercise generated should also be a key element of the discussion at this point. Once both have presented their initial version, both should collaborate to both add any tasks that were not previously found on the chart and to move any they would want to move at this point.
