Relationship management is an important factor in building trustworthiness.

A high level EQ is well reflected in the manner in which people manage their relationships with others.

Trustworthiness relates to the level of security and confidence that a person may feel towards another and the extent to which a person is viewed as fair, pleasant, friendly, honest, just and patient in dealing with others.

It is the Top Executives, who create organizational climate. If managers at the top, trust one another, are fair, open and receptive, then such an atmosphere will permeate through the entire organization.

If top managers are cautious, defensive, skeptical, jealous, lack in empathy, compete instead of collaboration, try to push own agenda in any way, don’t accept others (deep down) due to self-righteousness or lack of adaptability skills, are cynical, have complaining and fault finding attitude, scarcity mentality (half glass empty paradigm instead of half glass full) arrogant, egoist, borrow strength from external factors (i.e. formal position or affiliations) to compensate the gap of moral strength, then entire organization will reflect lack of trust.
