TRANSCRIPT
“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me” (John 15:4).
If you want to be in good soil…
1 Remain in Jesus! Commit to him and give him your heart.
Good Soil
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he
will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking”
(James 1:5).
If you’re on the path…
1 Pray! Ask God for wisdom when you don’t understand
something about him.
2 Read your Bible to look for answers. You can go to
biblegateway.com and search for keywords there. For example, if you want to know if God really
loves you, look up the word love. You’ll be amazed at all the answers
that come up!
3 Ask a wise Christian.
Path
“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne” (Hebrews 12:2).
If you’re in the weeds…
1 Include Jesus in things that might distract you from him. Keep your eyes on Jesus no matter what you’re doing!
2 Cut out some of the distractions and set aside time for Jesus.

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
If you’re in rocky soil…
1 Pray! Talk to Jesus about your problems.
2 Ask Jesus to help get rid of your problems.
4 Take heart! Jesus has overcome all your rocks!
Rocky Soil
3 Be thankful! If your rocks don’t go away, develop a thankful attitude even though rocks are there. Make a list of things you can thank God for!
