New York City CuisineNew York City has been an epicenter of global

culture since the early 17th Century. If you travel there, you'll meet all different sorts of people

who come from around the world, speaking their own language, carrying their own mannerisms,

etc.

Global FareLucky for us, they also brought all of their

cuisines too. New York City is maybe the best place in the world to explore and try different

foods and styles from around the world. If you're hungry, you can easily find Chinese, Indian,

Ethiopian, Japanese, Mediterranean, Mexican, Caribbean, and American food, sometimes all on

the same block!

Mission ChineseAn extremely popular restaurant that has its original location in San Francisco.

A quick Google search will tell you that Mission serves americanized Chinese food, but it is far more creative and delicious than that. Chef Danny Bowien has reinvented the classic "American" Chinese food menu, injecting it with inspiration

from many different cuisines.

Mission ChinesePerhaps an homage to New York City and its delis, one of the best

dishes here is the Kung Pao Pastrami, seasoned with peanuts, celery, potato and "explosive" chili. Another must-try is the Hamachi Collar a la Sichuan, which fuses Tennessee bacon with the sourness

of mustard green pickling brine and the power heat of Sichuan peppers. Be prepared to wait, as the dining area is small and the

food tends to keep patrons at their tables for long periods of times.

Bar PrimiFor lovers of pasta and Italian Mediterranean fare, Bar Primi is the place to go. With delicious homemade pasta and a wide

range of ingredients, there's sure to be something for everybody's inner Italian. They serve everything from truffled

mushroom crostino appetizers to short rib raviolini entrees.

Bar Primi

One of their best dishes on their seasonal menu is the squid ink campanelle, which uses crab, garlic crema and fresno

cheese to create a great balance of delicately rich flavors. Its variety in seating arrangements—you can sit at long,

banquet style tables or small, intimate booths—makes it an attractive destination no matter who the company is.
