REVUP NATION,The product team has been burning the

midnight oil to integrate Rubicon Market

Demand data with your PACE and Pick Up

    reports.

This is truly ground breaking functionality that

will give you a competitive advantage. In

analyzing your PACE and PickUp reports, future

market compression outside of the transient

booking window will be displayed alongside your

    data.

For those who are not familiar with the report, it

is essentially a daily STAR report for the future.

We will launch with at least 120 days forward

looking data and over time expand to a 6 month

view. We plan to launch August 25 for San

    Francisco and New York markets.

RevUp is the first to company to launch

integrated reporting with Market Demand data to

give you a jump on the competition.

We will continue to develop enhanced reporting

with this data and over time make it part of the

system forecast functionality. Speaking of forecast,

the team has also added a one step report

    generator for system forecasts.

Our goal is to make your 90 forecast a simple turn

key process. The first iteration lacks a couple of

key elements that will be updated over the next

few product build cycles. Most of this has to do with

more granularity in calculating the group segment

    trends more effectively.

We are really excited about the Market Demand

features and believe they will deliver immediate

value to you. We will schedule a webinar on August

26 to demonstrate the functionality and discuss

    activation details.

Thanks as always for your feedback and support.

    Optimize well my friends,

    Mark

    Lodging Market Turnaround

Reinforcing STRs revised predictions were the results of American

Express third annual CFO Research Global Business and Spending Monitor.

The research revealed that business travel spending is stabilizing and policies

are beginning to loosen, particularly in areas that can be closely linked to

    revenue growth.

2011 meetings demand to return pricing power: Amex

Gradual rate upticks over the first half of the year combined with further

increases in demand indicate that hotel price declines will likely cease and

even begin to rise in the 2011 negotiating season, American Express

Lingering supply growth affects major markets

In the June-August 2010 edition of Hotel Horizons, PKF Hospitality Research

is forecasting another year of competitive market conditions for U.S. hotels,

although the industry has now turned the corner. In 2010, PKF-HR is

projecting revenue per available room to increase by 1.1 percent, the net

result of a 3.4 percent increase in occupancy and a 1.1 percent fall off in

average daily rate. This reflects an upgrade to our forecasts as of late 2009,

when 2010 was expected to be another year of declining RevPAR.
