Revolution in Yemen
Michael Schor Pd 1
• President Ali Abdullah Saleh is currently being overthrown by the revolutionaries however he refuses to give up power.
• Protest leaders include: Abdel-Hadi al-Azazi
Similar with the American Revolution
• Involves a tyrannical leader who refuses to give up power
• There are some people who still support the old power
Different than American Revolution
• Its more of a civil war than a Revolution. The people are fighting their government and only Yemenites are dying unlike in the American Revolution where it was the Americans fighting the British.
Pictures of what’s going on.
Where the country is going
I do believe that the current president will be overthrown. However the country will not see a brighter future unless the next person in power can establish fair laws.
