The historical contribution of Italy

1821: Homeopathy arrives to the Kingdom of Naples and conquers some doctors
of the Court: F. Romani and C. De’ Horatiis. The Royal family supports
Homeopathy.
De’ Horatiis saved the King from a severe heart disease and became his
personale physician.
1824: first translation of “Organon” (II edition) by Bernardo Quaranta,
archeologist, one of the discoverers of Pompei excavations
1825: first Italian translation of “Materia Medica Pura” by F. Romani
F. Romani and C. De’ Horatiis educated a number of doctors coming from all
Europe in order to learn the «New Medical System»
Naples: cradle of Homeopathy in Italy.

RATIONALE OF THE CONGRESS
o Bio-Medicine and the ancient paradigm of Similarity
o Similarity and the “personalized approach”:
o Source of the so called “Complexity Medicine” as well as “Precision Medicine”
o an ancient knowledge as a source of interest for physicians, students and researchers.
o A methodology which cured millions of people in all continents.
o New approaches which in their turn have generated discordant opinions even within the Homeopathic community.
o Core of the 74th LMHI Homeopathic World Congress: a dialectical comparison between Hahnemannian Tradition and Innovation. Evolution cannot do without its own origins.
o Similarity: object of criticism and prejudice. Obligation to defend and develop this paradigm without upsetting and misunderstanding it.
o Sorrento: a perfect location for such an important meeting

on the Congress website on www.lmhi2019.org. Symposia
Symposium are not CME approved unless the organizer
have gained approval for the particular symposium. Each
health professional can ask at his own Medical College,
Order, Association or Foundation the convertibility of
European credits in National course credits, to be approved
by their own Country.
