Hacking the bank

A leading international bank has employed our ethical hackers for a decade to probe its systems and uncover vulnerabilities before criminals can find them. Our team tests the bank’s systems and the standard industry applications it uses internally. It’s not uncommon for them to find faults.

The bank hasn’t suffered a significant security breach in those ten years, but it could have: at one point, for example, the BT team showed how it could bring down the bank’s website through a distributed denial-of-service attack. Standard web protection systems hadn’t detected the threat.
