July 2008 – Present: Transit Mix Concrete Company, 444 East Costilla, Colorado Springs, CO Technical Service Manager: Technical Support for Customers and Sales Department, Cost Estimating/Bidding, Cost Analysis, Technical Training and responsible for QA/QC Department and USACE ASTM C1077 Laboratory Validation.Responsible for certification and inspection of 6 Ready Mix Batch Plants. Coordinate all special projects including NRMCA certification of ready mix trucks, batch plants, QA/QC, mix designs and procure materials required to perform and meet project specifications, and research and development. I currently serve on Colorado Ready Mix Concrete Association (CRMCA) Board of Directors.
April 1996 – July 2008: Transit Mix Concrete Company, 444 East Costilla, Colorado Springs, CO Quality Control Manager & Technical Services Engineer: Responsible for ten technicians to perform QA/QC for 10 batch facilities in Denver, Colorado Springs & Pueblo, CO including numerous concrete mix designs for various projects along the Front Range of Colorado. Also responsible for QA/QC program of seven aggregate pits & quarries in Southern Colorado.
Technical Services Engineer duties include mix design submittals, soil and aggregate certificates of compliance, concrete troubleshooting and remediation of concrete issues. Special projects including Comanche Power Plant, Pueblo Chemical Depot, COSMIX, GCC Cement Plant, Holcim Cement Plant and numerous projects at Fort Carson, USAFA, Schriever AFB, Peterson AFB and CDOT; special concrete mix designs and control of large concrete placements which require special attention.
