Tuesday was so HOT! - The whole school had to cool down with an icy pole which was enjoyed by all. It is great to see so many children wearing hats. It’s so important that our children are protected from the sun’s harsh rays. Grade Four – Adelaide Camp Our Grade 4 students are very excited about their camp to Adelaide next week. I know they will have lots of fun. Under the Western Stars Yes!! It’s on again. We are very lucky to have our amazing dance teacher, Karen Willcock, back to help prepare our end of year celebration “Under the Western Stars”. Keep this date free Date: Tuesday, 15 th December Where: MWPS Oval More information to come!! Working Hard This term we have a “Working Hard” theme across the school. The students were introduced to the idea at our whole school meeting on the first day back. The children have explored what it means to work hard in their classrooms and are reflecting on this to become the best learners they can be. Hopefully they are taking some of the ‘hard work’ attitude home and helping out with a few chores. Maybe you could discuss what ‘working hard’ looks like at home? It’s been pleasing to see “Hard Work” in action with students maximising their learning through effective use of time. Great start!

WALK TO SCHOOL - oCTOBER

VicHealth’s Walk to School month for October encourages all primary school children to get active. The Environmental Leaders have a Walk to School classroom calendar to complete on a daily basis for any child that walks, rides, scoots, skateboards or uses any other active transport. This VicHealth initiative is to support our children to get the 60 minutes of physical activity they need a day.
