RWR ASSESSMENT

Faculty at the degree program level will use the holistic Master Rubric to develop clearly stated scoring guidelines or analytic rubrics within the discipline to render reliable ratings.

RWR ASSESSMENT PLAN

The analytic rubrics are developed using from the holistic Master Rubric to develop the four student-learning outcomes (SLOs) in three areas: the experience, the work and the behavior.

Analytic rubrics within the discipline will be used to evaluate student writing (course embedded) and observed behavior (course embedded and community based).

These discipline-specific rubrics will align with the Master Rubric and reflect these assessment categories: Connections to the Experience, Professional Performance, Integrated Communication, Self-Assessment and Student Behavior.

RWR ASSESSMENT PLAN APPROVAL

The RWR course-level assessment plan must be approved prior to the collection of data by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness if the course is for a 2015-2016 grant or by the RWR Assessment Committee if it is for a 2016-2017 grant. The Assessment Plan and Report must be submitted in WEAVE and the AVP of Institutional Effectiveness notified when the plan is complete for 2015-2016 grant recipients or the RWR Assessment Committee notified for a 2016-2016 grant recipient so that the review process can begin.The review process will take a minimum of two weeks to complete.

Step 1: If you would like to add an outcome, go to the outcome area in WEAVE and click on add.

ADDING AN OUTCOME STEP 2Step 2: Type in a descriptive title and then type in the outcome in the textbox. Indicate if the outcome is a student learning outcome.

Determine the Established in Cycle and the Active Through Cycle.

Mark the item as Draft until you have finalized and reviewed all items. This usually happens at the end of the cycle.

Mark as Final before submitting the report in February.

Data are presented for each outcome in the form of quantitative and qualitative descriptors.

Data tables are included to give a thorough picture of findings as necessary. For example, include number of students at different levels on rubric—met, exceeded, etc.
