Gas Leak Detection Overview

There are different environmental reasons why gas leak detection is needed and an endless list of benefits for you, the customer, for having the right solution in place.

Through our extensive technical, industry and legislative experience, our focus is to put our customers first.

We aim to:

n Establish strategic partnerships in key applications whilst offering ongoing support

n Enhance product innovation to ensure that we can offer you legislative driven, environmental ngineering solutions that provide you with cost savings.

There are a number of applications that we proactively supply into. Here are just some of the applications where you will find our products:

n Supermarketsn Refrigerated storage/distribution centresn Food production & processingn Chiller plant roomsn Air conditioning applicationsn Hotelsn Data centres

Environmental Reasons:

Reduce Your Carbon FootprintCompanies active in the refrigeration industry are measured upon the direct impact of CO2 emissions. Reducing your carbon footprint will not only have a positive effect on operating costs but will help the environment and can help enhance your market reputation.

Maximise Energy EfficiencyRegular service & support, replacing inoperational equipment and manual leak detection provides substantial improvements in efficiency. 15% gas loss = 100% increase in energy consumption

Refrigerant LossRefrigerant leakage to the atmosphere can result in product loss, causing systems to operate inefficiently and is detrimental to the environment. Many refrigerants are potent greenhouse gases whilst others can cause depletion of the ozone layer therefore it is imperitive that your gas leak detection equipment identifies these possible leaks as quickly as possible.

Customer Benefits:

Legislation ComplianceOur refrigerant leak detection systems provide an ideal and ready-made solution to comply with necessary industry legislation. Where possible, we can ensure compliance of F-Gas Regulations, EN378 and BREEAM accreditation.

Minimise CostsQuick identification of refrigerant gas leaks minimise the cost of having to replace lost (and increasingly more expensive) refrigerant gases.

Personnel & Customer ProtectionLeaked refrigerant gases can be hazardous to health. In some cases they can put personnel and customers in a situation where their life could be in critical danger. The quick response of our products produce an alert to avoid danger at the earliest sign.

The Detect-F is the first portable gas leak detector to offer detection of both CO2 AND Refrigerant gases - The convenience to perform leak detection with a single detector for both gas types.

The Detect-F allows you to select the gas that you wish to detect by simply using the two button configuration.

“Highly sensitive for both HFC’s and CO2”

The Detect-F uses semi-conductor and electrochemical sensors to ensure high responsiveness of both refrigerant gases and CO2. A progressive audio alarm and bright LED display alerts the user to any gas leaks.

The easy grip handle allows you to comfortably carry out gas leak detection. A high impact, rugged design and flexible metal hose increases accessibility for those hard to reach places.

““ ”

We are extremely pleased with the a1-cbiss gas leak detection system. It is both compact and easy to install with a choice of 16, 24 or 32 sampling channels. It is extremely versatile with its ability to sample two different gases simultaneously from one sensor, utilising a vast list of refrigerant gas types. This makes it unique within its competition base.

The door mounted user screen is clear and easy to configure, with step-by-step instructions to follow. Another unique feature of the a1-cbiss gas leak detection system is the ability to configure each of the 16 volt-free relays to be triggered from any single or multiple sampling channels.

But the great advantage this system has over all of its rivals is the ability to connect via a local IP network to an RDM Data Manager (widely used world-wide for monitoring and controlling refrigeration systems), giving the user/s the ability to configure it, monitor and report the complete gas detection system from both the RDM Data Manager and remotely via the internet.

Colin Brown Head of Controls, NCS (Cumbria) Ltd

The response and approach we have received from Karl and the team at a1-cbiss has been extremely positive and showed real professionalism. As a result, we look forward to strengthening our relationship in the months ahead.
