Leak Detection Overview

2

There are different reasons why gas leak detection is needed and an endless list of benefits from having a solution in place. Here are some of the key reasons:

• Compliance with relevant legislation - EN378 & F-Gas

• Reduced service costs (cost of replacement gas and the service call)

• Maximise energy efficiency of refrigerant system. 15% gas loss = 100% increase in energy consumption

• Minimise risk of stock/product loss

• Possible reduced insurance cost

• Tax on non-environmentally friendly refrigerants

• Personnel and customer protection

• Stakeholder perception supports corporate commitment to reducing carbon footprint

Client Testimonials

“““

We are extremely pleased with the a1-cbiss gas leak detection system. It is both compact and easy to install with a choice of 16, 24 or 32 sampling channels. It is extremely versatile with its ability to sample two different gases simultaneously from one sensor, utilising a vast list of refrigerant gas types. This makes it unique within its competition base.

The door mounted user screen is clear and easy to configure, with step-by-step instructions to follow. Another unique feature of the a1-cbiss gas leak detection system is the ability to configure each of the 16 volt-free relays to be triggered from any single or multiple sampling channels.

But the great advantage this system has over all of its rivals is the ability to connect via a local IP network to an RDM Data Manager (widely used world-wide for monitoring and controlling refrigeration systems), giving the user/s the ability to configure it, monitor and report the complete gas detection system from both the RDM Data Manager and remotely via the internet.

Colin Brown Head of Controls, NCS (Cumbria) Ltd

The response and approach we have received from Karl and the team at a1-cbiss has been extremely positive and showed real professionalism. As a result, we look forward to strengthening our relationship in the months ahead.

Daniel Byrne Active Control Engineer, Marks & Spencer

Oaksmere has developed a strong relationship with a1-cbiss over recent years and worked closely to provide a flexible, robust and extremely reliable refrigerant leak detection solution for our mutual clients. The ARMS system offers flexibility in terms of multi-gas measurement (Combined CO2 & HFC’s or Hydrocarbons), integration with control/management systems and this, combined with excellent system support, ensures that a1-cbiss can be trusted to deliver an efficient/effective leak detection solution for their clients.

Gerrard Elliott Electrical Design Engineer, Oaksmere

We have developed a strong rapport with Karl over the past 3 years to ensure a professional relationship. I have found the a1-cbiss panel to be practical and easy to use thanks to onboard software and the touch screen interface. The service back up team has been excellent and fully supportive when servicing the refrigerant monitoring systems.
