BEVANS CORRIMAL ANCHORS TWO EVENTS FORCANCER COUNCIL NSW, RAISING OVER $18,OOO

Over the last six weeks the team at Bevans Corrimal have held two separate events for Cancer Council NSW:-

“The Great Ocean Pool Crawl” and “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea”

“The Great Ocean Pool Crawl” was held in late April and involved participants starting at the Corrimal Hotel ,travelling by bus and swimming two laps in seven ocean pools from Coalcliff in the north to Towradgi in the south, then back to the Corrimal Hotel for lunch, presentations and a bit of fundraising.

The event would not have been as successful without support from Event partners; Bevans Corrimal and Savvy Fitness, Gold sponsors; Corrimal Family Hotel, Heard McEwan Lawyers and Xperimental Studios and Pool sponsors; After Dark Party Bus, Anytime Fitness, Austibeach Café, Cooley Auctions, Skydive the Beach, Towradgi Park Bowls and Recreation Club and Wollongong Serviced Apartments.

It was a day full of fun with over 75 participants raising almost $17,000!

Australia’s Biggest morning tea was held at the Bevans Corrimal office in conjunction with IMB Corrimal branch and supported with resources and product donated by Delano Coffee , with customers, relatives and friends totaling over 100 calling in during the morning.

Another great morning for resulted all with over $1,200 being raised.

Phil Murray from Bevans Corrimal said “As well as looking after our own clients we also like to look after our community as well”.

The idea of “The Great Ocean Pool Crawl”, now in its thirteenth year was conceived by Phil during his daily “10 laps” in the Towradgi Pool and has now raised over $175,000 for the Cancer Council
