Preparations are in full flow for next year’s RBCC Centenary. Your Chamber is planning to run a full range of events to celebrate the Centenary in an

appropriate way – events that will not only be enjoyable but will also, as always, enable our members and others to meet each other, discuss initiatives and build business. Needless to say, our ambition has to be tempered by available resources and you will not be surprised to learn that we are looking for financial support to enable the celebrations to happen! The Centenary as a whole and the individual events will offer opportunities for member companies to raise their profile are we are keen to hear from any of you who would like to discuss the sponsorship possibilities that will arise. If this is of interest, please contact me in London or Alan Thompson in Moscow.

In the meantime, the normal business of the Chamber is continuing and we have recently been running or involved in numerous events in London, Moscow, St

Petersburg and elsewhere. Alan Thompson was recently in Sochi speaking at a Business Forum. Our St Petersburg office is increasingly taking the lead in that wonderful city in organizing topical and successful business events. Our major Moscow Investment Forum RussiaTALK(for which our Moscow team had pulled together a stellar team of speakers) took place on October 21. In London we participated yet again in another successful “Doing Business in Russia” seminar organised by long-term members Albion Overseas in collaboration with Debevoise and Plimpton; we have also assisted members SCHNEIDER Group recently in putting on informative events about business in Russia… and all offices are now pulling together arrangements for their Christmas Cocktails parties. In the interim, all offices will of course also be running regular Networking events.

All forthcoming events are listed on the RBCC website www.rbcc.com (which itself is in the course of re-design, and will we hope be clearer,

less liable to “cyber attack” and easier to use), so please keep an eye on it and join us at as many events as possible so as to maximize the benefits of your membership.

As noted previously, we are particularly proud of our relationships with both the Russian and British governments and our cooperation with

organizations like UK Trade & Investment and the Russian Trade Delegation, and are pleased to say that our bilateral, non-political stance has enabled us to have a useful role in keeping the dialogue going between UK and Russian businesses and institutions in recent times. We hope that the RBCC Centenary will provide the opportunity to continue this important role.

Another organisation with which we have very friendly and vigorous cooperation is the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and

Industry (CCI RF). Regular readers will know that we are fortunate to have Sergei Averin in our office as the representative of the CCI RF in UK. Sergei is a most helpful man, and is a direct link into the regions in Russia - the CCI RF is the umbrella organization for some 178 regional Chambers of Commerce throughout Russia. Do make contact with Sergei, by phone, email or come to meet him at one of our events. The RBCC’s RussiaTALK conference took place at the CCI RF’s splendid headquarters building in Moscow, not far from Red Square, for which we are as always immensely grateful.

Подготовка к празднованию 100-летия РБТП в следующем году идет полным ходом. Мы планируем провести целый

ряд мероприятий, чтобы достойно отметить этот знаменательный юбилей палаты. Эти мероприятия предоставят участникам возможность не только приятно провести время, но и, как всегда, наладить новые контакты, обсудить проекты и развить свой бизнес. Mr. Schneider, how is business in Russia at the moment, especially for British companies? Are there any visible trends?

Business in Russia is going through a deep crisis and we are unsure of when we will get through this current difficult period, or how we will get through it for that matter. We can see that the perception of the business climate is changing on a daily basis, and nobody is able to give a reliable forecast. The political aspects of the crisis make it quite unpredictable. However, it is encouraging that we are seeing several Western firms with mid and long-term investment plans who are continuing to implement their localization (and other) projects.

UK firms exporting to Russia are suffering in particular because of the rouble devaluation. Western sanctions with regard to Russia also play a role, however, more so in very specific industry sectors like oil and gas, and even here almost only in new exploration projects and not in existing ones.

Did you adapt your service portfolio due to the crisis? What is currently in demand?

Yes, we have noticed a change in demand. The good news is that there is almost no foreign investor on the Russian market who has completely closed down operations. Most companies are doing less business and several are suffering quite seriously, however those present in Russia want to keep pushing through the current crisis in the hope of reaping the rewards when the situation improves.

On the other hand, expats have been leaving Russia for cost reasons, a decision usually taken by the HQ. For this reason we have had more requests for our interim management services, mainly for the General Director position.

We are also seeing more demand in tax and legal consulting, in particular for small short term projects on topics that are related to the crisis.

SCHNEIDER GROUP has offices not only in Russia, but also in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus and Poland. How is the collaboration between the offices? How is the relationship between the Ukrainian and Russian colleagues?

Last summer we indeed saw some difficulties in cooperation between our Moscow and Kiev colleagues, and we did everything possible to bring them closer together again. We organized a weekend trip for our Moscow colleagues to Kiev as well as a bicycle trip together with the Kiev, Minsk and Moscow offices around the borders of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. The outcome was very positive.

Cooperation and good relations between all of our offices is very important for us since we want to show clients that we are one united team in our six countries. This is also one of reasons why we did a rebranding from the local names (Russia Consulting, Ukraine Consulting etc.) to become SCHNEIDER GROUP.

How do you consult your clients on the sanctions against Russia?

We reacted right away in 2014 when the first sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities came into place. Our newsletter became extremely popular as, I can say, it was the best on the market; very compact, comprehensible and had a good overview of which business activities were restricted and which were still possible.

At that time we had a very significant demand from Western firms for consulting regarding the sanctions. However, such requests are now few and far between, probably due to a lack of new revelations and simply a prolongation of the sanctions.

What changes do you see in Moscow?

Moscow has changed its face very much over the last couple of years. On the one hand you can see that the business districts were growing much faster before the start of the crisis. At the same time, living standards have greatly improved. In the city center you have more pedestrian zones and even special lanes for bicycles. Also, many of the parks have been renovated, and traffic jams have, at least, not gotten any worse. This could be due to the fact that traffic police has changed their priorities away from making cash to ensuring drivers follow the rules.

Can you give 5 reasons why someone should do business in Russia now?•Investors who start during the crisis will gain the most after the crisis.•143 million consumers like to spend their disposable income.

•Projects take longer in Russia. Now you can find the right people for your project, both in the business environment as well as in terms of support from government bodies.•During boom times Russians will not forget who committed to the country during the crisis.•Market entry has become much cheaper during this crisis.

Why did you come to Russia?

I was with Procter & Gamble for five years at different locations in Germany and then in Brussels. Quite often I had contact with colleagues in Moscow and it was quite exciting to hear what they were doing. This motivated me to look for a job in Moscow, and eventually German Allianz Insurance made me an interesting offer that I accepted. I was sure that this would be for two years and that I would then move on to Asia. Now, I have been living in Russia for 15 years, have created my own business and work together with almost 500 colleagues.

What are your hobbies?

I like travelling a lot, exploring interesting countryside and new cultures. In my childhood my parents travelled a lot through Eastern Europe with my sisters and me. Today I like travelling by all means of transport, including bicycle and by small aircrafts that I fly myself. I recently passed the exam to get my pilot license for a traditional Cessna 152 and 172, and very much like to see historical and fascinating places from the sky.

Another hobby is my passion for a united Europe. When I was a student I organized seminars on European topics and drew posters with slogans such as “Abolish the Borders” or “For a single European currency’’, and I can say that I am still proud of this today. My heart is for a united Europe, and I am very much in favour of a single market from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

Да, мы заметили изменения в спросе. Хорошей новостью является то, что на российском рынке почти нет иностранных компаний, которые полностью ликвидировались. Большинство компаний сократило свой бизнес в России. Некоторые из них довольно сильно затронул кризис. Однако, оставшиеся в России компании хотят преодолеть кризис в надежде на то, что

Прошлым летом действительно возникали некоторые трудности в отношениях между московскими и киевскими коллегами, и мы сделали все возможное, чтобы сблизить их снова. Как Вы советуете своим клиентам справляться с санкциями в отношении России?

В 2014 году мы сразу же отреагировали на введение первых санкций против России в отношении физических и юридических лиц. Наше информационное письмо стало крайне популярным. Я могу сказать, что даже лучшим на рынке: оно очень лаконичное, понятное и содержит хороший обзор того, какие аспекты предпринимательской деятельности стали ограниченными, а какие возможно было осуществлять.

В то время резко повысился спрос от западных компаний на консультации в области санкций. Однако, сейчас подобных запросов мало, что, скорее всего, связано с отсутствием новых санкций и пролонгацией старых.

Какие изменения Вы заметили в Москве?

Москва довольно сильно изменила свой облик за последние несколько лет. С одной стороны нужно отметить, что деловые районы расширялись гораздо быстрее до начала кризиса. И, в то же время, сильно улучшился уровень жизни. В центре города стало больше пешеходных зон и велодорожек. Также многие парки были реконструированы. А пробок, по крайней мере, не становится больше. Возможно, это связано с тем, что приоритеты дорожной полиции поменялись: теперь она скорее сосредоточена на соблюдении водителями дорожных правил, а не на получении денег.

Вы можете сформулировать пять причин, почему стоит вести бизнес в России сейчас?

Я проработал в Procter & Gamble пять лет в разных городах Германии и в Брюсселе. Довольно часто мне приходилось взаимодействовать с коллегами из Москвы, и было очень увлекательно узнавать, чем они занимаются. Это стало мотивацией для поиска работы в Москве, и, в конце концов, немецкая

страховая компания Allianz сделала мне довольно интересное предложение, которое я принял. Я был уверен, что это всего на два года, а дальше я перееду в Азию. Но сейчас я уже 15 лет живу в России. Здесь я создал собственный бизнес и работаю с 500 сотрудниками.

Расскажите о Ваших хобби.

Мне очень нравится путешествовать, исследовать новые страны и культуры. В детстве мои родители брали меня и моих сестер в поездки по Восточной Европе. Мне нравится путешествовать всеми возможными транспортными средствами, включая велосипед и небольшие самолеты, которыми я управляю сам. Недавно я сдал экзамен на получение лицензии пилота самолета Cessna 152 и 172 и теперь могу наслаждаться видом исторических достопримечательностей и красивых пейзажей с высоты.

Другое мое хобби – это стремление объединить Европу. The Non-resident Landlords (NRL) Scheme is a scheme for taxing the UK rental income of persons whose ‘usual place of residence’ is outside the UK. The Scheme applies to UK source rental income paid to non-resident landlords from 6 April 1996; different arrangements applied before 6 April 1996.

Landlords, for the purposes of the Non-resident Landlords (NRL) Scheme, include individuals, companies and trusts. In the case of partnerships, each partner is treated as a separate landlord in respect of their share of the rental income.

Where a property is jointly owned and one or more of the joint owners has a usual place of abode outside the UK, the share of rental income attributable to those joint owners falls within the NRL Scheme. The share attributable to joint owners whose usual place of residence is within the UK will not fall within the Scheme.

Letting agents or tenants of a non-resident landlord must deduct income tax from the landlord’s UK rental income at a fixed rate of 20% and pay the tax over to HMRC. However, letting agents and tenants do not have to deduct tax from the rental income of a non-resident landlord once registered under the scheme and if HMRC notify them in writing that the landlord is approved to receive the rental income with no tax deducted.

Non-resident landlords can apply to HMRC for approval to receive rental income with no tax deducted where any of the situations below apply:

•their UK tax affairs are up to date; or•they have never had any UK tax obligations; or•they do not expect to be liable to UK tax for the year

in which the application is madeThe approval does not mean that the rental income is

exempt from UK tax. Although the rental income will be paid with no tax deducted, it is still liable to UK tax and the non-resident landlord will be required to report their net rental income and pay tax thereon on an annual tax return.

The non-resident landlord will normally be entitled to relief against tax in his country of residence for any UK tax payable in the UK.

Advantages:•Receiving gross rental income can have the following

advantages for a non-resident landlord:•Cash flow – rather than having tax deducted at source,

the tax is payable twice yearly on 31 January (during the tax year) and 31st July following the tax year in which the rents are received.

•Correct amount of tax – the letting agent/tenant is not allowed to deduct expenses paid by the landlord directly (including interest) in arriving at the profit figure and therefore tax is often deducted on a higher income figure leaving the landlord to then reclaim overpaid tax through the self-assessment system.

•Personal allowance – where the non-resident landlord has their personal allowance available then no tax should be due on the profits within this amount. The personal allowance is currently available to all British nationals and EU citizens and to nationals or residents of certain non-EU member states.

•Cost – the obligations on the letting agent/tenant to operate the deduction of tax can be demanding and may result in additional charges or reduce the potential tenants.

OPINION

Guernsey has evolved into an international financial centre over the past 50 plus years. During this period the many thousands of professionals providing diverse advice and services have gained extensive experience in their field.

There are many reasons for Guernsey having become and continuing to be a successful international financial centre which include:

•Political stability - Guernsey has experienced over 800 years of independence, having pledged allegiance to the English Crown but not the English Government, in 1204. It is not a member of the European Union, although it has been granted a special status whereby it is included for the purposes of freedom of movement of goods.

•Guernsey is internationally recognised as one of the best regulated financial centres in the world. As well as regulating banks, insurance service providers, fund managers, it is one of the few jurisdictions which not only regulates but licenses trust and corporate service providers.

•The basic rate of personal taxation has remained at 20% since the 1950s with no capital gains tax, inheritance tax, gift or wealth taxes being imposed.

•It is clear that proper and effective management and control (using the Island’s extensive pool of expertise) can be exercised there without adverse implications, the standard rate of corporate taxation being 0%.

•It has up-to-date and innovative legislation with regard to trusts, foundations and companies. The latter includes a provision to establish protected and incorporated cell companies as well as those with both guarantee and shareholder members.

•It has extremely good communications links into London, where much international business is undertaken.

•It is financially stable with no significant government borrowing or locally established banks, which the Island would be required to support in the event of problems arising.

In this world of increasing uncertainty, political instability and financial strains elsewhere, Guernsey is in an enviable position. As a result it has to be seen as an ideal location in which to establish and administer, trusts, companies and foundations by individuals who wish to ensure that assets are protected and managed in a professional and discreet manner.

Traditionally, Russian clients have used jurisdictions such as Cyprus and the British Virgin Islands, the former benefitting from a double taxation treaty with Russia. Effective structuring used to be relatively simple.

However, the advent of Russian Controlled Foreign Company legislation and the likelihood of the Common Reporting Standard being introduced within the next few years, together with political instability, international sanctions and conflicts means that many Russians are looking for more sophisticated structures in order to protect assets for themselves and future generations.

Guernsey is ideally suited, for the reasons set out above, to be able to assist such individuals, using the expertise of its many trustees, corporate service providers, asset managers, bankers, insurers, etc, who provide a full range of services that can be effectively coordinated from Guernsey, as well as evidencing that proper and effective management and control in a tax neutral environment.

As a representative of the Russian F e d e r a t i o n Chamber of Commerce and Industry, first of all, on behalf of the president of CCI of Russia, Sergei Katyrin, I would like to send my best wishes to the readers of the

Bulletin and those engaged in Russo-British trade. When we talk about Great Britain in Russia, we tend

to think of traditions. These can be seen to influence the centuries of trade links between our two countries. Therefore, it goes without saying that CCI of Russia’s natural partner in Great Britain is the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce. RBCC was founded in 1916 with the approval of the Monarchs from both countries. Symbolically, His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, a relative of Tsar Nicholas II, has been RBCC’s Patron since 1998.

Half a year has passed since I started working as the representative of CCI of Russia in RBCC. During this period I have conducted many meetings and taken part in special events. To my surprise, I have noticed that not many people in Great Britain are aware of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The CCI of Russia is the biggest non-governmental, non-profit member-based organisation in Russia. It unites more than 50,000 small, medium-sized and large Russian companies, from both the private and public sector, including industry, internal and external trade, agriculture, finance and services.

The CCI of Russia encompasses not only 182 regional chambers, but also, at least 200 unions, associations and employers at federal level and 500 business associations at regional level. Organisations that settle and regulate economic disputes, the International Commercial Court of Arbitration, Internal Arbitration Court and the Maritime Arbitration Commission also all work in association with the CCI of Russia.

The CCI of Russia has 30 foreign representatives who work all around the word, including Great Britain. My main aim, as the Chamber's representative, is to facilitate and develop commercial relations between companies of both our countries and to advise on issues that can face Russian businesses, as they enter and get to grips with the British market.

Вообще, когда мы в России говорим о Великобритании, очень часто имеем в виду традиции, к которым в этой стране относятся с уважением. К таким традициям относятся и многовековые торговые связи между нашими странами. Эти связи всегда имели особое значение для всего комплекса отношений между Россией и Великобританией. Так, главный партнер ТПП России в Великобритании – Российско-Британская торговая палата была создана в 1916 году при одобрении монархов обеих стран – и символично, что ее патроном, почетным покровителем c 1998 года является член британской королевской семьи, Его Королевское Высочество Принц Майкл Кентский.

Уже прошло полгода с того момента, как я приступил к исполнению своих служебных обязанностей. В течение этого периода было проведено много встреч, принято участие в различных профильных мероприятиях. К своему удивлению, я заметил, что не так много подданных Великобритании знают о существовании, о роли и задачах Торгово-промышленной палаты России. ТПП РФ является крупнейшей негосударственной, некоммерческой членской организацией в России, объединяющей под своим крылом более 50 тысяч предприятий различных форм собственности, представляет интересы малого, среднего и крупного бизнеса, охватывая своей деятельностью все сферы предпринимательства - промышленность, внутреннюю и внешнюю торговлю, сельское хозяйство, финансовую систему и услуги.

Система торгово-промышленных палат РФ объединяет 182 территориальных палат, более 200 союзов, ассоциаций и других объединений предпринимателей на федеральном и 500 бизнес-ассоциаций на региональном уровнях. При ТПП РФ действуют органы по разрешению и урегулированию экономических споров, такие как, Международный коммерческий арбитражный суд, Третейский суд, Морская арбитражная комиссия и т.д.

Во всем мире работают 30 зарубежных представительств ТПП РФ, в том числе и в Великобритании. Моя основная задача, как представителя Палаты, способствовать установлению и развитию торгово-экономических связей между предприятиями наших стран, помогать решать те задачи, с которым российский бизнес сталкивается при вхождении и освоении британского рынка.

RBCC welcome two new members to their London team this August. Matt P r o u d m a n , C o m m e r c i a l Ma n a g e r, a n d Is ab e l l a Craf t , B u s i n e s s D e v e l o p m e n t Manager, have replaced Vita ly Varvinsky and Fred Sugarman-Warner, respectively.

Both Matt and Isabella graduated from the University of Bristol this summer in BA (Hons) in Russian and Spanish.

Isabella has a great interest in the Russian-speaking world and has especially enjoyed studying Soviet history at the University of Bristol. Her passion for Russia was enhanced by her experience in Tomsk in 2013, when she spent four months teaching English and studying in Tomsk State Pedagogical University. During her time, she visited parts of Russia which are less known to the foreign traveller, learned to love Siberian winter and managed to reach brief stardom in a television debut on Россия 1.

Isabella also spent 6 months working in the British-Ecuadorean Chamber of Commerce in Quito, Ecuador, and hopes to transfer that knowledge into the RBCC. She is excited about working in RBCC ahead of the Centenary Year, and looks forward to planning special events which enhance Russo-British relations and provide fantastic opportunities for the development of both nations.

Matt, the new Commercial Manager, is tremendously excited by the prospect of working with all our members and involving them in as many ways as possible as we approach the Centenary Year in 2016.

Matt's love affair with Russian started during a school trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg at the age of fourteen. He has since visited Russia on numerous occasions, most recently when he lived in the Siberian oil and gas city of Tyumen for half a year, where he worked as a language assistant at a local university.

When Matt isn't working you'll often find him playing a Russian folk song on his guitar, running around Victoria Park or playing football for the Russian trade delegation's team. He recently scored two goals on an impressive debut against the Canadian Embassy!

Мэтт и Изабелла вместе учились в Университете Бристоля по специальности русский и испанский языки, и этим летом закончили его с дипломом с отличием.

Изабеллу очень привлекает русскоговорящий мир, а в бристольском университете ее особенно увлекало изучение истории Советского Союза. Любовь к России окрепла еще больше после посещения Томска, где Изабелла провела 4 месяца в 2013 году, преподавая английский язык и обучаясь в Томском Государственном Педагогическом Университете. Изабелла побывала в уголках России, куда редко приезжают иностранцы, полюбила сибирскую зиму и однажды даже дала короткое интервью телеканалу Россия 1.

Изабелле также довелось поработать в Кито, столице Эквадора, в Британско-Эквадорской Торговой Палате в течение 6 месяцев. Изабелла надеется, что опыт, приобретенный за это время, окажется полезным для работы в РБТП. Следующий год будет особенно важным для Палаты в связи со столетним юбилеем РБТП, и Изабелла очень рада, что будет напрямую участвовать в планировании и организации торжеств.

Мэтт, новый Коммерческий менеджер, отвечает за работу с членами РБТП и с нетерпением ждет возможности лично познакомиться с ними и вовлечь их в празднование столетия.

Мэтт полюбил русский язык во время школьной поездки в Москву и Санкт-Петербург, когда ему было 14 лет. После этого он много раз бывал в России, а в 2013 году он прожил 6 месяцев в сибирском городе Тюмени, центре нефтегазовой промышленности, где он работал ассистентом по английскому языку в местном университете.

В свободное от работы время Мэтт любит исполнять русские песни под гитару, совершать пробежки в парке или играть в футбол за команду российского Торгпредства.

Arkhangelsk became a very special day for many people, especially for the Russian and British veterans of the Second World War as the memorial to the first Arctic Convoy ‘Dervish’ was unveiled on the bank of Severnaya Dvina, on the very day when 74 years earlier it reached one of the oldest port harbours in Russia to mark the beginning of ongoing help delivered by the Allies to defeat the common enemy.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the local Governor Igor Orlov, the Mayor Victor Pavlenko, the British Ambassador Sir Tim Barrow, the UK Consul General Keith Allan and the US Consul General Lynne Tracy.

A special delegation representing the British veterans of Arctic Convoys was organised and led by Eugene Kasevin of The Russia House Ltd. who brought to Arkhangelsk the President of The Russian Convoy Club Ernest Davies and his wife June, and the Hon. Secretary of HMS Belfast Association Walter Filby.

Following the ceremony, the group was joined by the Mayor, the Ambassador and the Consul General at the local Memorial Cemetery of British soldiers fallen during both of Great World Wars.

Next day, the 1st of September, British veterans took part in the First Day at School celebrations which added joy to the visit.

Next year’s 75th anniversary of Dervish will see many special events in the UK and Russia, all of which will be announced on The Russia House special project website: www.victorydaylondon.co.uk

Debevoise Advises Uralkali in BuybackProgramme

The Moscow and London offices of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP are advising Uralkali, one of the world's largest potash producers, in a buyback programme of its Common Shares and GDRs with a total purchase amount of $1.32 billion. The buyback is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

In 2015, Debevoise advised several Russian compa-nies on successful tender offers and buy backs, including Uralkali in April 2015, when its subsidiary conducted a tender offer for up to $1.5 billion of Uralkali's securities. In total Debevoise has represented leading Russian com-panies in tender offers and open market buybacks for an aggregate amount of over $17 billion.

Deniz Oguzkanli, a partner at Ronald Fletcher Baker, has been instructed to represent Mr P, a Managing Director of an electronic company in relation to his suspected involvement in the deliberate evasion of UK

export controls. This case involves export controls on dual use goods.

The investigation has been conducted by HMRC and it was alleged that Mr P., t h r o u g h h i s company, exported power amplifiers to Hong Kong and China without an export licence. The UK operates an export control licensing regime for certain strategic goods. The licensing

regime also extends to certain end-users of concern. It is part of an international framework and is based upon various international agreements.

The exported power amplifiers are described as dual-use goods which can be used in certain strategic goods such as military and weapons of mass destruction programmes.

Under the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979, it is an offence to export goods from the UK where that export would be contrary to any prohibitions or restrictions being in force, with respect to those goods or by virtue of any enactment, without an appropriate export license being in place. The case is currently at the Court of Appeal based on technical arguments.

The research regarding the Personal Data Law (242-FZ) which commenced in Russia on September 1 2015, means all international companies operating within Russia are now required to store the personal data they own regarding Russian citizens within the Russian Federation.

The project organizers set standards to establish which of the Russian data centres can provide foreign businesses with the most effective solutions, not only making it easy to comply with the new law, but also ensuring the smooth running of their equipment.

The 11th Annual Investment Forum RussiaTALK organ-ised by the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC) took place on the 21st October 2015 in the Congress Cen-tre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Rus-sian Federation (CCI RF).

His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, Patron of the RBCC made the trip to Moscow to be Guest of Honour at the Forum. In honour of his visit to Russia, an evening reception was organised on the 20th of October at HM Ambassador’s Residency.The guests of the evening had the chance to meet His Royal Highness, to talk to Her Majesty’s Ambassador, to the speakers and participants of the Forum and other key representatives of Russian and British businesses.

The following morning more than 250 people attended the opening of the Forum. Given the political environment and its repercussions on business, this event could be called a milestone in itself: business is tired of an atmosphere of sanc-tions and counter-sanctions. There was a strong feeling that businesses were eager to return to the normal pragmatism of mutually beneficial interaction without political interven-tion.

“Even now, despite the ever-changing political climate, rela-tions between our business communities are developing,” Sergey Katyrin, the President of the CCI RF, noted in his speech.

“This year's meeting is special because it is taking place on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (founded in 1916). The Chamber has been active over the course of 100 years in trade between our countries, the economies of Russia and the UK have always needed each other. Today, the main function of the RBCC remains unchanged: the strengthening of business relations between the two countries.”

Sergey Katyrin said “We currently face difficult times, but both parties intend to move forward, because they believe in the potential of Russian-British economic cooperation. Most important is the expansion of bilateral economic ties at regional level. The CCI RF is working to create favourable conditions for economic activity in the country, and assists Russian companies - small and medium enterprises - in enter-ing foreign markets. Much of the success will depend on fur-ther cooperation with the Russian-British Chamber of Com-merce. Improving the investment and business climate, the promotion of technological modernisation and transition to the knowledge-based economy, the expansion of knowledge-intensive international cooperation are all issues which are dealt with by the CCI RF in cooperation with the interested Russian and foreign organisations and the business circles of Great Britain - our natural and traditional partners.”

His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent delivered his wel-coming address in Russian to the participants of RussiaTALK. He has been Patron of the RBCC for more than fifteen years. Prince Michael stressed that the RBCC and CCI RF have done much for the development of relations between the two countries. Currently the RBCC is working in difficult condi-tions, but, as underlined by Prince Michael, he personally has borne witness to the fact that many in the UK are interested in active development of Russo-British relations at the pre-sent time. The Russo-British Chamber of Commerce has been actively working with Russian regions for two years, highlighting to UK businesses the great opportunities availa-ble in the Russian provinces. The Prince expressed confi-dence that this conference will set a new dynamic in the development of business interaction, which the RBCC has been supporting for almost a hundred years.

The First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Alexey Likhachev noted that 2013 was a successful year with trade between the two countries at $ 25 billion. Over the course of 2015, it has fallen by 40 percent. This fall has both an objective and subjective element. The former is represented by the radical reduction of raw materi-als prices, and the fluctuating currency exchange rates. The latter, subjective reasons are the consequence of political decisions.

Meanwhile, Russia continuously works on improving the investment climate. Foreign businessmen should keep in mind that the common market of the EEU has already come into being, and it will eventually become a significant phe-nomenon in the global economy. Nevertheless, Russia and other members of the EEU are ready to work on the idea of a common economic space from Lisbon to Vladivostok. In Russia there is significant work in the area of import substitu-tion. It should be understood that this is not about measures designed to limit or bar specific people to work on the Rus-sian market. We are talking about the localisation of produc-tion in order to create added value in Russia; in other words, the winner is the the individual or entity who comes to Russia to invest and work here, as they make Russian products, regardless of from where they came to our market.

The President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin talked of cooperation with RBCC. Speaking about the efforts to overcome unneces-sary bureaucratic and fiscal barriers for businesses, he noted that the largest Russian business associations actively oppose the introduction of additional non-tax fees and charges. As these charges are not formally a tax, they do serious harm to business. the RSPP has managed to achieve a ban by 2018 on the new charges, but charges should also be audited.

Andrey Nikitin, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, noted the importance of the development of coop-eration with regions. Two meetings of British business repre-sentatives and the Russian regions have already taken place in London this year. A number of UK companies have decided to invest into the regions of the Russian Federation. “Along

with our partners, we consider this event a practical one, and the RBCC is one of our main supporters in this work,” Nikitin stressed.

During the further sessions of the Forum the experts dis-cussed additional valuable topics. The Panel Discussion "Prospects of economic cooperation between Russia and the UK" saw speakers share their vision of the potential of Rus-sian-British trade in the current climate and the development of cooperation between Russian and British companies.

Representatives of Russian and British companies also dis-cussed the subject of bilateral investments, citing the promi-nent example of the healthcare business in the Russian Fed-eration (entrepreneurs from the United Kingdom are actively working in this area in Russia).

The final panel of the Forum,“Federal and Regional Support of Small and Medium Enterprises” was very popular among guests. It is clear that big business will always take place. But, as the speakers pointed out, small and medium-sized busi-nesses require varying levels of support. Establishing broad links between networks of small and medium entrepreneurs of Russia and the UK is beneficial to both. It generates jobs, helps to share innovation, and increases the contribution to GDP. Ultimately, it is the broad and successful development of small and medium business which is crucial to the stability of a country’s economy, and society itself.

ИнвестиционныйФорумRussiaTALK201521 октября 2015 г. в Торгово-Промышленной Палате Российской Федерации прошел 11-ый Инвестиционный Форум RussiaTALK, ежегодно организуемый Российско-Британской Торговой Палатой.

Главным почетным гостем Форума в этом году стал Его Королевское Высочество Принц Майкл Кентский - Патрон РБТП. По случаю его приезда в Россию накануне Форума, 20 октября, был организован Торжественный Приём в Резиденции Посла Великобритании для участников Форума. В ходе приёма гости смогли пообщаться с самим Принцем, а также Послом Великобритании, докладчиками форума и ключевыми фигурами российского и британского бизнеса.

На следующее утро Форум посетили более 250 гостей, которых ждала насыщенная программа. По общему настрою участников, контексту выступлений нынешнее мероприятие можно назвать знаковым: бизнес устал работать в атмосфере санкций и контрсанкий; он стремится вернуться к нормальному прагматизму выгодного взаимодействия, в котором нет каких-либо сиюминутных конъюнктурных политических составляющих.

“Впрочем, и сегодня, несмотря на постоянно меняющийся политический климат, отношения между нашими предпринимательскими сообществами развиваются,” - отметил в своем выступлении Президент ТПП РФ Сергей Катырин. -В этом году наша встреча имела особенный характер и потому, что состоялась в преддверии 100-летнего юбилея Российско-Британской Торговой Палаты. В течение ста лет Палата активно работала, торговля между нашими странами не прерывалась, экономики России и Великобритании всегда нуждались друг в друге. В наши дни основная роль РБТП остаётся неизменной – укрепление деловых отношений между двумя странами.”

“Время сейчас, - подчеркнул Сергей Катырин, - непростое, но стороны намерены двигаться дальше, поскольку уверены в потенциале российско-британского хозяйственного взаимодействия. Важный резерв здесь - расширение двусторонних экономических связей на региональном уровне. ТПП работает над созданием благоприятных условий экономической деятельности в стране, содействует российским компаниям, предприятиям малого и среднего бизнеса в выходе на зарубежные рынки. Во многом успехи в этой работе будут зависеть и от дальнейшего сотрудничества с Российско-Британской Торговой Палатой. Совершенствование инвестиционного и делового климата, содействие

технологической модернизации и переходу к экономике знаний, расширение наукоемкого международного сотрудничества – все эти задачи ТПП РФ решает в сотрудничестве с заинтересованными российскими и зарубежными структурами, и деловые круги Великобритании здесь – естественные и традиционные партнеры.”

С приветственным словом на русском языке к участникам RussiaTALK обратился Принц Майкл Кентский, он более полутора десятков лет является патроном Российско-Британской Торговой Палаты. Майкл Кентский подчеркнул, что РБТП и ТПП РФ многое сделали для развития отношений между двумя странами. Сейчас РБТП работает в непростых условиях, но, как подчеркнул Майкл Кентский, он лично свидетельствует: многие в Великобритании заинтересованы в активном развитии российско-британских отношений и в нынешнее время. Российско-Британская Торговая Палата вот уже два года активно работает с российскими регионами, объясняя бизнесу Соединенного Королевства, какие огромные возможности есть в российской провинции. Принц выразил уверенность, что нынешний Форум определит новые акценты в развитии предпринимательского взаимодействия, которое РБТП поддерживает уже почти сто лет.

Первый заместитель министра экономического развития РФ Алексей Лихачев отметил, что в успешном 2013 году товарооборот двух стран был равен 25 млрд долларов, в 2015 году он упал на 40 процентов. останавливает работу по улучшению инвестиционного климата. Иностранным бизнесменам следует иметь в виду, что появился единый рынок ЕАЭС, и это со временем станет заметным явлением в мировой экономике. Но Россия и остальные члены ЕАЭС готовы работать также и над воплощением идеи единого экономического пространства от Лиссабона до Владивостока. В России идет работа по импортозамещению. Следует понимать, что здесь нет речи о каких-то для кого-то запретах работать на российском рынке. Речь идет о локализации производства, чтобы добавочная стоимость появлялась на территории России, иными словами, выигрывает тот, кто приходит в РФ инвестировать и работать здесь, поскольку он производит российскую продукцию вне зависимости от того, откуда сам он пришел на наш рынок.

Президент РСПП Александр Шохин рассказал о сотрудничестве с РБТП. Говоря о работе по преодолению бюрократических и излишних фискальных барьеров для бизнеса, он отметил, что крупнейшие российские объединения предпринимателей активно выступают против введения дополнительных неналоговых сборов и оплат, формально не являясь налогами, они, поскольку их порядка семидесяти, серьезно обременяют бизнес. Пока удалось добиться запрета до 2018 года на появление новых сборов, но речь должна идти также о ревизии уже существующих.

Генеральный директор Агентства стратегических инициатив Андрей Никитин отметил важность развития сотрудничества с регионами. В течение года уже две встречи британского бизнеса с представителям и российских регионов состоялись в Лондоне, ряд фирм Соединенного королевства принял решение инвестировать в субъектах РФ. Нынешнее мероприятие и для нас, и для партнеров бизнеса, подчеркнул Никитин, рабочее, а РБТП – один из основных партнеров в этой работе.

Далее на форуме был рассмотрен ряд вопросов, представляющих большой интерес для участников

мероприятия. Так, в ходе дискуссии «Перспективы экономического сотрудничества России и Великобритании» выступающие представили свое видение возможностей российско-британской торговли при нынешнем политическом климате, обсуждались вопросы развития сотрудничества между российскими и британскими компаниями.

Представители российских и британских компаний обсуждали также такую важную тему, как инвестиции в сфере здравоохранения в РФ (предприниматели из Соединенного королевства активно работают у нас на этом направлении).

Большой интерес вызвала последняя рассмотренная на форуме тема - федеральная и региональная поддержка малого и среднего предпринимательства. Понятно, что большой бизнес везде пробьется и всегда займет свое место. Но малому и среднему, говорили выступающие, обязательно необходима разумная поддержка. Установление широких связей между сетями малых и средних предпринимателей России и Великобритании выгодно обеим сторонам: во-первых, появляются рабочие места, во-вторых, идет обмен новшествами, в-третьих, возрастает вклад в ВВП. Наконец, именно широкое и успешное развитие малого и среднего бизнеса – залог стабильности и экономики, и самого общества.

RBCC “Doing Business in Russia”: Panel Discussion and Networking Evening, Dentons, 13 October 2015

RBCC London organised a well-attended panel discussion on the current business environment in Russia with Dentons, the largest international law firm team in Russia. Richard Barham, Partner of Dentons, firstly welcomed guests and panellists, and then, Trevor Barton, Executive Director, moderated and chaired the discussion, which comprised industry experts from various sectors.

Richard Ogdon, Russian Direct Investment Fund, and Olga Zinovieva, First Deputy CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at Interros, spoke about the continuation of investments in Russia despite the tougher times. Olga Zinovieva spoke convincingly about the tremendous investment opportunities for companies who have not shied away from Russia and that she is positive of Russia’s future. Florian Schneider, Managing Partner of

Dentons' Moscow office, and Andrew Cheung, General Counsel and Sanctions Specialist at Dentons reviewed the economic situation in Russia from a legal perspective. Both Nick Graham, Data Protection Partner at Dentons, and Martin Menzel, IXcellerate, spoke of issues surrounding data protection in Russia from a legal and commercial perspective, respectively. Kingsmill Bond, Chief Equity Strategist at Sberbank Investment Research, commented on developments and tendencies in Russia’s capital markets

After these presentations, the audience directed questions and queries to panellists, thereby providing an engaging active discussion. Following this, the Networking Evening commenced. Over 90 RBCC members and guests gathered together with DWF representatives and clients on Tuesday 27 October for RBCC’s monthly Networking Evening. This event was a great success, first and foremost, given the fantastic location on the 31st floor of the iconic Walkie Talkie building, which provided exceptional views of Central London. On the last Saturday of summer, the 29th of August, the RBCC held a garden party call a family Stramash (from the Scots - Stramash- disorder). In the garden of the historic Sugar merchants house, right opposite the Kremlin, British businessmen, their families and friends gathered to have a relaxing afternoon together.

On this sunny day, various activities were organised especially for the younger audience, including painting, a cookery class and other games . One of the highlights of the event was a masterclass from Russian football freestyle champion, Konstantin Gavrilov .

The adults had the opportunity to sample culinary delights from Hotel Metropol Moscow's catering team. The cocktails were generously provided by William Grant & Sons with their whisky Grant’s, and by Vodka Baikal. Other beverages were provided by Coca-Cola, Heineken, Newby Tea, and coffee from Julius Meinl. And for those with a sweet tooth, Jelly Belly beans by Bona, Walkers biscuits by Relief, and Mövenpick ice cream.

On 27 August 2015 the RBCC & UKTI held a Seminar focusing in the topic of intellectual property and practical aspects of the protection thereof, at the premises of the British Embassy in Moscow. After a warm welcome by John Lindfield, Director of UK Trade & Investment Russia, the seminar started with an explanation of the procedures and intricacies of registration and evaluation of intellectual rights by Mike Leaning, Senior Patent Examiner of the UK Intellectual Property Rights Office, who shared some of his expertise with the guests. The start of September saw the RBCC's quarterly economic overview, with guest speakers including Deputy Minister of Finance Maxim Oreshkin, The Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Moscow, Gabriel Di Bella and senior partner of Macro-Advisory Christopher Weafer. Breakfast was held in the hotel InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya, and began with a welcome address from General Manager Martin Zarybnitskiy. Wishing everyone a productive breakfast, Martin gave the floor to the Director of the RBCC Russia Alan Thompson, who traditionally acts as the moderator of the discussion. Maxim Oreshkin shared the view of the Ministry of Finance on howto end the crisis in Russia and the outlook on the situation of the national currency. Gabriel Di Bella, who had recently arrived in Moscow to take up this new post, presented a comprehensive overview of the development of the Russian economy in the global macroeconomic environment, as well as Christopher Weafer, who in his macro overview mentioned the regional dynamic and the fact that only 12 of the Russian regions are covering their costs.

RugbyWorldCupNight,16September2015To mark the first game in the Rugby World Cup and the fact that it is being held in England in 2015, the RBCC arranged to hold a "Pub night" at Chelsea bar, an establishment situated just off Tverskaya in the centre of town. The first game in the RWC on the 18th of September was England Vs Fiji together with the opening ceremony. The RBCC joined forces with the British Business Club, and thanks to the generous support of Heineken, the Chelsea bar, American Crew we ensured our guests were well in the mood for the kick off- in spite of the time difference.

In October RBCC member had a unique opportunity not only to visit the historic building of the Moscow Exchange, but also learn about the ways in which it is possible to benefit from working on the exchange.

GrottBjorn - a financial broker - held a seminar within the premises of the Moscow exchange titled "The Optimization of Foreign exchange transactions for businesses", during which the participants learned about how to use the instruments on the exchange in order to save their company's funds when converting into foreign currency. This seminar was of particular use to multinational companies, which are faced on a regular basis with the need to transact in foreign currency where the exchange rate is not favourable.

On 10 September RBCC and Sokos Hotel held the evening Business cocktail "Back to work" in the style of British musicals at Solo Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge.

On the 23rd of September RBCC St. Petersburg, together with the Financial Atelier "GrottBjorn", and the Northwest branch of Moscow Exchange hosted a briefing titled “The Ways to reduce currency risks of companies operating in Russia: Instruments and cost of exchange rate fixation”. The conference hall of St. Petersburg’s legendary “Lenfilm” was selected as a venue for the seminar.

Alan Thompson, director of RBCC Russia, launched the event with an opening speech focusing on the macroeconomic outlook of the Chamber. Mr Thompson also touched upon data-protection and localization of companies in Russia and how these issues are interlinked with the risks behind ruble volatility. The meeting proceeded with a speech by Irina Kuchukova, head of currency and money market of the Northern-West branch at Moscow Exchange. Ms Kuchkova’s thorough lecture spotlighted key trends in currency trading, the inner workings of Moscow Exchange and provided some vital statistics on the matter at hand. Victor Lebedev, director of GrottBjörn, took the floor following Ms Kuchukova’s address and spoke on cash flow optimization strategies for companies involved in substantial currency trading. Mr Lebedev focused on ways of reducing risks from currency fluctuations, cutting costs of foreign exchange transactions and related legal aspects and in on-line mode to show the possibility of the Moscow Exchange.

Exposure to this level of event contributes to the development of innovative projects of international and foreign economic cooperation, expand business contacts, searching and attracting partners. The collective stand was visited by St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko. During the three days of the Forum was attended by over 5,000 guests - representatives of the Russian and international industry, government agencies, key economic agencies, academics and experts in the field of innovation.

RBCC in St Petersburg brought together more than 120 representatives of organizations - partners and members of the Chamber, heads of public and business organizations at the briefing, "The legal protection of trademarks and intellectual property" in the restaurant "Palkin". The event consisted of the business part and the opening ceremony for the exhibition of Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Kondurov.

Alan Thompson, director of the RBCC in Russia launched the event. Mr. Thompson introduced the topic by narrowing it down to the fundamentals of intellectual property protection for the RBCC members involved in doing business in Russia. Paul Savitsky, head of intellectual property practice in the field of telecommunications and technology law firm "Borenius Attorneys Russia", highlighted the most important aspects of the topic of intellectual property in the arts, purchase of copyrights, the consequences of copyright infringement and the mechanism of transactions when buying art objects, was also raised the question of the international trademark registration procedure and early termination of their protection. 10 сентября лондонский офис РБТП провел очередной вечер делового общения в помещении, любезно предоставленном банком UBS при содействии компании Fragomen, юридической фирмы, специализирующейся по вопросам иммиграционного законодательства. На вечере присутствовали около 80 гостей, которые имели возможность насладится угощениями и наладить контакты с членами РБТП и другими гостями. Собравшихся приветствовал Ник Перримэн, возглавляющий отдел по управлению активами в UBS, Надин Голдфут, Партнер из Fragomen, и Тревор Бартон, Управляющий директор РБТП, который представил новых членов Палаты – компанию BAC Sport. Лондонский офис РБТП совместно с юридической компанией Dentons, имеющей самое крупное представительство в России, организовали семинар-обсуждение текущего делового климата в России. Ричард Бархэм, партнер компании Dentons, приветствовал гостей и выступающих, а затем Тревор Бартон выступил модератором панельной дискуссии, состоящей из экспертов по различным секторам экономики.

управляющего совета компании Интеррос, рассказали о продолжающихся инвестициях в Россию, несмотря на трудные времена. Ольга Зиновьева убедительно описала привлекательные инвестиционные возможности, которые остаются для компаний, верящих в Россию и продолжающих в ней работать. Флориан Шнайдер, управляющий партнер московского офиса Dentons и Андрю Чэнг, Генеральный советник и специалист по санкциям этой же компании, дали обзор экономической ситуации в России с юридической точки зрения. Ник Грэм, партнер по защите данных из Dentons, и Мартин Мензель из компании IXcellerate говорили о проблемах защиты информации в России с юридической и коммерческой точек зрения. Кингсмилл Бонд, главный стратег компании Sberbank Investment Research, дал свои комментарии по тенденциям развития рынка ценных бумаг России.

После презентации делегаты имели возможность задать вопросы панелистам, что привело к оживленной дискуссии. Затем последовал прием с напитками и закусками. 27 августа 2015 в Посольстве Великобритании в Москве РБТП совместно с Департаментом торговли и инвестиций Великобритании провели семинар на тему интеллектуальной собственности и практических аспектов ее охраны. После короткого, но теплого приветствия Джона Линдфилда, Директора Департамента торговли и инвестиций Великобритании в России, семинар открыл Майк Лининг, Ведущий патентный эксперт Ведомство интеллектуальной собственности Великобритании с обзором процедур и нюансов регистрации и оценки интеллектуальной собственности. Майк поделился с участниками семинара своим опытом, а затем обсуждение сфокусировалось на более практических аспектах защиты интеллектуальной собственности. Партнер юридической фирмы Baker & Mckenzie Евгений Ариевич и Старший юрист компании Rouse Яна Цыганкова подробно разобрали примеры юридической практики и законодательных мер, применяемых к нарушению интеллектуальных прав.

В последнюю субботу лета, 29 августа, в Резиденции Посла Великобритании в Москве состоялся Семейный Страмаш РБТП (от шотл. Stramash - бардак). В саду исторического особняка, расположенного напротив Кремля, собрались представители британского сообщества со своими семьями, а также их друзья и бизнес-партнеры.

В этот солнечный день маленьким гостям предложили множество развлечений, в том числе рисование, кулинарные занятия и другие игры. Гвоздем детской программы стал мастер-класс по фристайлу с мячом, который провел чемпион России в этом виде спорта Константин Гаврилов после своего завораживающего номера.

Тем временем взрослые могли насладиться свежими десертами и сытным барбекю от кейтеринг-команды гостиницы Hotel Metropol Moscow. Коктейльными спонсороми этого вечера стали виски Grant’s, предоставленный компанией William Grant & Sons, и водка "Байкал". Завтрак состоялся в гостинице InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya и начался с приветственного обращения ее Генерального менеджера Мартина Зарыбницкого к гостям. Пожелав собравшимся продуктивного завтрака, Мартин передал слово Директору РБТП по России Алану Томпсону, традиционно выступающему модератором дискуссии, который открыл обсуждение и передал слово докладчикам. В ходе мероприятия Максим Орешкин поделился взглядом Министерства Финансов на путь к окончанию кризиса в России и прогнозом относительно положения национальной валюты. Его выступление продолжил и расширил Габриел Ди Белла, недавно прибывший в Москву, чтобы занять этот пост. Он представил обзор развития российской экономики в глобальной макроэкономической конъюнктуре. Затем выступил Кристофер Уифер, который в своем макро-обзоре рассказал о региональной динамике и о том, что лишь 12-ти регионам России удается покрыть свои расходы.

Трансляция открытия Кубка мира по регби - 18сентября2015

РБТП отпраздновала начало Кубка Мира по Регби и факт его проведения в 2015 году Англии и посвятила просмотру первого матча в серии вечер в Гастропабе «Челси» - заведении, расположенном практически на Тверской в центре Москвы. В первом матче чемпионата, состоявшемся 18 сентября, после церемонии открытия встретились сборные Англии и Фиджи. РБТП объединилась с Британским Бизнес-Клубом и, благодаря щедрой поддержке компании Heineken, Гастропаба «Челси», а также American Crew, обеспечили наших гостей прекрасным настроением для матча, несмотря на разницу во времени.

Семинар "Оптимизация валютных операций длябизнеса"-9октября2015

В октябре у членов РБТП была редкая возможность не только посетить историческое здание московской биржи, но и узнать о принципах работы на ней. В этот день при поддержке Финансового Ателье GrottBjorn состоялся Семинар «Оптимизация валютных операций для бизнеса», в ходе которого участники узнали, как можно использовать инструменты биржи, чтобы сэкономить средства своей компании на конвертации валюты. Особенно актуальной тема семинара стала представителей международных компаний, которые часто сталкиваются с валютными транзакциями при, зачастую, невыгодном обменном курсе. Мероприятие открыл Алан Томпсон, Директор РБТП по России. В своей вступительной речи он отразил взгляд Палаты на макроэкономическую ситуацию в России. Г-н Томпсон коснулся темы защиты персональных данных и локализации компаний, а также как эти вопросы связаны с валютными рисками. С приветственным словом выступили представители "Ленфильма".

В продолжение мероприятия выступила Ирина Кючукова, начальник отдела валютного и денежного рынков Северо-Западного филиала ПАО Московская Биржа. В своей речи г-жа Кючукова осветила некоторые актуальные тенденции и перспективы развития валютных торгов Московской Биржи, а также представила гостям важную статистику по данному вопросу. Виктор Лебедев, Директор ФА GrottBjorn взял слово с целью обсуждения стратегий по оптимизации денежных потоков компаний ведущих внешнеэкономическую деятельность. C 7 по 9 октября 2015 года в рамках VIII Петербургского международного инновационного форума, который является универсальной площадкой для делового общения всех участников инновационной деятельности и ключевым мероприятием по развитию и поддержке инноваций, Российско-Британская Торговая Палата в Санкт-Петербурге стала участником коллективного стенда "Глобальные партнеры Санкт-Петербурга"

Экспозиция на мероприятии такого уровня способствует развитию проектов международного инновационного и внешнеэкономического сотрудничества, расширению деловых контактов,

поиску и привлечению партнеров. Стенд посетил губернатор Санкт-Петербурга Георгий Сергеевич Полтавченко. За три дня работы в Форуме приняли участие более 5,000 гостей – представителей российской и международной индустрии, государственных структур, ключевых экономических ведомств, научных кругов и экспертного сообщества в области инновационного развития.
