A British section of the IARU was formed in late 1925W G Dixon, G5MO asked all who are at present actively engaged on short wave, work by sending me a card on the last day of each month reporting any items of interest concerning reception conditions, DX worked and heard, new local short wave clubs were formed; in fact any news that can be made interesting to readers of our British Section report in QSTQST, the journal for the ARRL had taken on the role of setting aside pages for IARU businessIARU

Working for the future of Amateur Radio8In the next few minutes Id like to share with you whats been happening in the RSGB since the Interim board was a pointed in November 2011, and outline how that Board is looking at the challenge of reshaping the Society for the 21st Century. Please feel free to raise points as I go along, although there will be an opportunity for general questions ay the end.

National societies throughout the world work together for the international good of Amateur Radio under the auspices of a representative democracy, the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU).
