In order to give us some insight into the

inner workings of the Photoshop program,

we started with some small projects that

gave us the basics. A small collage allowed

us to work with importing images and

getting rid of the backgrounds. While an

optical illusion assignment taught us how

to use the pen tool and other line drawing

techniques.

Final ProjecctThe World as Seen by Me (So Far)My visual autobiography focuses on my families and mine love of travel. Here I depicted four of my favorite places that I have traveled to and the loved ones I have traveled with. In the middle is my family my grandma and I on the left, a group shot of my parents (Bill and Susan), sister (Mariel), and I on the beach in Cali in middle and on the left, last but not least, is my Aunt Pat. At the top we have California and some of its beautiful sites. I have my aunt to thank for these memories for she lives in Manhattan Beach, California and I get to visit at least once a year. In addition to the lovely time we have spent at her home she has also taken my sister and I to Washington DC, San Francisco, and Philadelphia, where she and my mom were raised. The bottom right is a combination of photos from my trips to Philadelphia and San Francisco. In the bottom left a waterfall in Puerto Rico and a ship docked next to ours remind me of the amazing trips my grandma has taken my family and me on. California is my summer haunt and has been since before I can remember. Every summer no matter what, we have made the pilgrimage to the Golden State. Trips to the beach are an everyday must have broken up by day trips. Some of these daytrips include Lighthouse tours, going to see the Korean bell and days combing the tide pools. We also take time to visit the droves of family living nearby. My dad grew up coincidently in Manhattan Beach and all of my cousin’s, aunt’s, uncle’s, great aunt’s, great uncle’s, second cousin’s, etcetera, live in the gorgeous state of California if not in the neighboring city.Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Philadelphia I swear I should have grown up here. Steeped in history and, lucky me, flowers I will forever love the city. In the week

we were there few crammed in all of the sites.

One day was old city and its memories of times past. Day two took us through Longwood gardens at the start of a warm spring. The flowers blossomed just for us somehow knowing we yearned to see a color

other than brown and green. Day three dawned giving Mariel another place to add to her “ when I’m not home for my birthday I’m here” list. She suffered through the Philadelphia Art museum as she pulled me along through the exhibits and kept me calm when a Rodin, a Cezanne, a Monet, and a Rembrandt all showed up next to each other. Other places I had to be dragged through included the Brandywine river museum and Reading Terminal Market. San Francisco was a surprise trip. We were there for four days or so but in that short time it quickly made it on to my favorite places list, and let me tell you I am very picky about what gets on that list. Our destinations included Pebble Beach, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Fisherman’s Warf, and Pier 39 to name a few. My grandma has been kind enough to contribute 3 cruises to my traveling transcript. She has taken my family and me on a weeklong trip through Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands. Then I was blessed enough to travel with her down the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately I got sick on day two and spent the majority of the trip in my cabin. My final trip was the three of us my sister my grandma and me to the Hawaiian Islands.

Basically I have been very blessed to have traveled the world as much as I have with my family beside me. However once bitten by the traveling bug you never have enough; I hope to one day go to Greece, Australia, and India as well as hit the highlights of Europe with an extended stay in Austria or maybe the Nether lands.

In order to create our very own dream space we used techniques centered

around perspective and photographic composition.
