We, the unified faith community of OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH, include the churches of Saint Peter, Our Lady of Hope, Saint Michael, Holy Rosary and Immaculate Conception. We are a diverse, merged community with a long history of faith. 5
As a community of faith, we seek to worship together and grow with the sacraments as we nurture a love of Christ and one another.
As disciples of Christ through Catholic education we strive to help the youth and children explore, understand and practice their faith.
As a body of Christ, we are committed to evangelization through Catholic education and fellowship.
We seek to become a strong, active community rooted in charity.

THIS WEEK’S MASSES & EVENTS
OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP October 6, 2019 - 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time “For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7) Many of us compartmentalize our Faith, we bring it out only when we attend Mass or when we attend a parish event. Being a good steward requires discipline and striving to put God first in everything, all the time. The next time you are at a neighborhood party, at work or out shopping, would your actions signal to others that you are a good and faithful servant of our Lord?
Please pray for our sick: Joyce Von Rueden, Paul O’Brien, Jean Stopper, Kathy Mueller, Barbara Feiner, Jack White, Brad Crist, Kim Busch, Liz Barth, Lydia Leahy, Jacob Kobylarczyk, Ellen Boatman, Val Feiner, Ed Blaine, Carson Hartwig, Dale Symons, Sharon Rock and Bernie Averkamp . If you know of someone seriously ill and needs community prayers, please inform Father Joji. When names need to be removed, please call the Parish Center at 776-4059.

Dear Friends, Today, the holy mother church invites us to reflect on one of the most important Christian and theological virtues – Faith. It is the foundation of our Christian life. Faith gives us a new vision and version of life. Without faith, we see only the ugly and dark side of life. Without faith, we remain helpless and slaves to des-pair and hopelessness. Faith liberates us and helps us to see the power and love of God at work in our lives.
Each time I read the gospel passage of the day, I remember this short story. A rusty shield once said to
the sun, “dazzle me,” and the sun responded: “polish yourself and I will dazzle you.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is always ready to increase our faith. However, we must humbly to ask for it. Second we must make the necessary efforts through our actions. Finally, we need faith in order to preserver in good works. We need it in order to remain steadfast during diffi-cult moments in life. We need more faith in order to trust in God’s will and judgement. So, we must humble ourselves each day to say: “Lord, increase our faith” as the apostles did.
