is for You
We, the unified faith community of OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH, include the churches of Saint Peter, Our Lady of Hope, Saint Michael, Holy Rosary and Immaculate Conception. We are a diverse, merged community with a long history of faith. 5
As a community of faith, we seek to worship together and grow with the sacraments as we nurture a love of Christ and one another.
As disciples of Christ through Catholic education we strive to help the youth and children explore, understand and practice their faith.
As a body of Christ, we are committed to evangelization through Catholic education and fellowship.
We seek to become a strong, active community rooted in charity.

THIS WEEK’S MASSES & EVENTS
OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP
September 20, 2020 - 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time “So the last will be first and the first last.” (Matthew 20:16) You’ve heard the saying “It’s not where you start, but how you finish.” This certainly applies to this Bible passage. We have a responsibility not only for our own lives, but for the lives of others as well. We are called to generously share our gifts with others, not hoard them for our own use. Our sincere gratitude and cheerful generosity will help us live “God-centered” lives and not “self-centered” lives.
Please pray for our sick: Joyce Von Rueden, Kathy Mueller, Barbara Feiner, Brad Crist, Kim Busch, Liz Barth, Lydia Leahy, Jacob Kobylarczyk, Ellen Boatman, Ed Blaine, Robin Valley- Massey, Dale Symons, Larry McDonald, Don Eicher, Donna Brick, Duane Ryckman, Mark Millard, Louise Schwartz, Bernie Wiegel and Fritzi Williams. If you know of someone seriously ill and needs community prayers, please inform Father Joji. When names need to be removed, please call the Parish Center at 776-4059.

Dear Friends, Today, we reflect on the unimaginable ways and love of God. This love is incalculable by any human stand-ard. Hence, the Church invites us to emulate this love.
In the first reading, we see a God who expresses his love for his people. We also see a God who in spite of our infidelity, continues to search for us. A God, who cares and is ready to welcome us. In the Gospel, what we see in action is simply the justice of God. His justice is governed by his generosity and unconditional love for all. His action towards the last group of workers shows that he is not acting in accordance with strict jus-
tice, or economics.
Rather, he is motivated by love and generosity towards all that responds to his invitation. To all of us, he has extended the same unmerited invitation. To all, he will pay the same wage because his love is unconditional. His reward does not depend on when he called anyone, but on his generous, and unimaginable love for all. Finally, what matters is that the Lord is close to all who respond to his invitation. It does not matter how and when. His love is for all. Amen.

As has been circulated in recent days, the five Wisconsin bishops jointly decided to lift the suspension of the Sunday Mass obligation in their respective dioceses this month. For the Diocese of Madison, this suspension will be lifted beginning on Saturday, September 26th. We now invite all Catholics back to Sunday Mass, who can safely and securely do so. The elderly, the immunodeficient, and those who are still at increased risk may refrain from Sunday Mass attendance, without committing sin, as allowed by the Church’s canon law. There will naturally be a number of questions about what this means for individuals throughout the diocese. While the spiritual wellbeing of every person is our primary concern, we understand and know that COVID-19 still presents a risk for the vulnerable in our communities. To answer those questions, the Diocese of Madison will keep a list of frequently asked questions and their answers, attempting to alleviate serious concerns, assuage any fears, and give peace of mind to both those coming back to Mass after many months, as well as those remaining away from Mass for a longer period of time. This list of FAQs and other updates can be found here. (madisondiocese.org/updates)
ATTENTION Donations are being accepted for the repair of 7
Holy Rosary church windows. Each window cost $3,500.
To help save money during this difficult financial time, the rectory phone number of 608-776-2251 is now disconnected. If anyone needs to talk to Fr. Joji please call his cell phone number 608-482-5636.
The September $1 Challenge sponsor is Charlie North in memory of Peggy North. September 26 & 27 will be the collection weekend.
