DESCRIPTION

YOU CAN WATCH THIS PRESENTATION IN MUSIC HERE: http://www.authorstream.com/Presentation/michaelasanda-1134332-qazvin-traditional-house/ THANK YOU! Iranian Traditional Houses possess an innate system of protection; they all have enclosed gardens with maximum privacy, preventing any view into the house from the outside world. Hence residential architecture in Persia was designed in a way so as to provide maximum protection to the inhabitants during times of tension and danger, while furnishing a microcosm of tranquility that protected this inner “paradise garden”.

The Caspian Sea is the largest enclosed body of water on Earth by area, variously classed as the world's largest lake or a full-fledged sea. Caspian is called Qazvin on ancient maps.

However in the Safavid reign Qazvin became capital and many buildings were built there. When the Qajars took the power in their hands, and made Tehran their capital, the importance of the city increased. Qazvin was located en route from Tehran to Europe and Russia. Today Qazvin has become one of the industrial cities in the country.

Tree planting was a sacred occupation and this reverence was deeply seated in the souls of the Persians.

The Paradise garden is a form of garden, originally just paradise, a word derived from the Median language, or Old Persian. Its original meaning was "a walled-in compound or garden"To the Persians paradise was a paradeisos or enclosure, a walled garden or parkland. In the arid land of the Persians, a green space well kept and watered filled with trees and shrubs was savored and tremendously enjoyed.

The name has come to be commonly used in English and other European languages as an alternative for heaven or "paradise" since Xenophon translated the Persian phrase pairidaeza into the Greek version Paradeisos. Because of the additional meanings for the word, the enclosed garden of the original concept is now often referred to as a paradise garden.
