INNOVATIVEFEATURES
Designed to aid in the rescue of anincapacitated or injured wearer, theDrag Rescue Device (DRD) is a criticalsafety component of any turnout jacket.EDGE offers the only in-collar DRD onthe market. This proprietary designplaces the DRD access port in thecollar instead of further down the backof the jacket, ensuring clear visibilityand easy access – even when thedowned firefighter wears a breathingapparatus.
IN-COLLAR DRD FEATURES• Reflective lettering for high visibility inlow light conditions
• Flexible Kevlar® webbing for strengthand comfort
• Unique, non-removable designprevents loss and improperinstallation
• Performance exceeds NFPA 1971
Gaps between the outer shell and innerliner can leave a firefighter with only onelayer of protection, exposing the wearerto an increased risk of thermal injury.
EDGE utilizes an engineered zippersystem to attach the outer shell to themoisture barrier and thermal liner, completely eliminating the risk of gapsbetween the outer shell and the thermalliner frequently found in snap-in linersystems.
ZIP-IN LINER FEATURES• Eliminates gaps in thermal protection• Prevents detachment of liner• Easily removed for washing ordecontamination
• Liner overlap design deliversenhanced comfort

Articulating DRDDesigned to EvenlyDistribute the Weight
The Morning Pride® patented ArticulatingDrag Rescue Device is unlike any otherDRD on the market.
The articulating nature of this designmeans that both underarms are engagedwhen the rescuer must pull from anangle. In contrast, non-articulatingdesigns will only pull on both underarmareas if the rescuer can make a straightpull. Engaging both sides of the downedfirefighter should help minimize thechance of pulling the coat off or failing togain effective leverage on the victim.
Using X-9 engineered thermal padding, dead air panels, found only in MorningPride® garments, increases conductivecompressive heat resistance (CCHR) incritical areas significantly higher thanthe NFPA standard. No other systemcombines such results with a light-weight, highly vapor-permeable design, and the low cost found in MorningPride® dead air panels.
Dead Air Panels Provide Lightweight,Non-restrictive Insulation
The TES™ (thermal enhancementsystem) design dramatically increasesTPP (thermal protective performance)with no significant impact on THL (totalheat loss). This means extra protectionwithout added bulk.
TES™ consists of a layer of Nomex®
mesh engineered into the garmentdesign on the upper torso and arms –all areas typically exposed tocompression and the highest thermalload.
TES™ Advantages• Superior protection of the entireupper torso and arms whencompared to other thermalenhancement systems
• Increased thermal protection with nosignificant impact on THL
TES™ (Thermal Enhancement System)Creates Extra Thermal ProtectionWithout Adding Bulk

Flex-back PleatsAllow MaximumMovement andReach
Dynamic Flex-Back Pleat was designedto allow the sleeve to expand freely inorder to increase the reach andmovement in the arms without addingfabric bulk. This construction isreplicated in the thermal liner andmoisture barrier, thus fully optimizingthe Flex-Back design benefits.
In addition to the Dynamic Flex-BackPleat, EDGE features underarm gussetsin all three Layers, offering optimalcomfort and minimum coat rise. Aperfect fit!
MORE OPTIONSMORE CUSTOMIZATION
Hybrid Wristlet Increases Comfortand Dexterity of theHand
The hybrid wristlet helps create additionalcomfort for the firefighter and will not get inthe way of movement. This wristlet isattached to the waterwell that is thenattached to the outer shell.
Thanks to this design exclusive to MorningPride® EDGE gear, you won’t have to worryabout contaminated water running downyour sleeves from your waterwells whenyou raise your arms. You stay safe anddry!
Dyna-Fit “Rig Friendly”Removeable Suspenders HoldPants Securely
Internal Adjustable BeltSystem ImprovesComfort and Adjustability
These patented suspenders have no mid-back hardware and comfortably stay inplace because of an interplay of thesuspender loops. They feature rig-friendlysnap attachments (instead of buttons)preventing suspender rotation when thepants are being donned.
What is the most inconvenient part of a belton your turnout gear pants? For many it’sthe buckle: it can be bulky, it doesn’t offerthe adjustability you’re looking for andoften enough it’s uncomfortable whenmoving.
Morning Pride® EDGE offers a uniqueInternal Adjustable Belt System thatintegrates an elasticized belt in the back ofthe pants, between the thermal liner andthe outer shell. The belt is secured withloops and allows you to adjust your waistsize up to 4 inches. The best part…it’scomfortable, expandable and removable. With the Internal Adjustable Belt System, you control the fit of your waist!

The BiFlex Heat-channel Knee utilizesadditional lateral panels for even greaterflexibility, maximizing comfort andprotection with unparalleled conductiveand compressive heat resistance(CCHR). It provides five layers ofprotection in the primary kneeling areaand reduced layering for less centeredareas.
With a combination of concave andconvex seams, the 3D BiFlex Heat-channel Knee creates a hree-dimensionalshape that enhances mobility whilemaking room for removable knee pads. This knee allows fire departments toprovide varying levels of protection thatare job specific. Waterproof knee padsare available in aramid and moisturebarrier or ¼˝ silicone foam padding(patent pending).
Enhanced thermal protection in the kneearea is critical. The proprietary Heat-channel Knee offers three to four timesthe NFPA minimum level requirement, providing you with maximized thermaland compressive protection, while theunique flexible design offers addedcomfort and mobility.
