Welcome to the Gwent Welsh for Adults Centre - the Centre which can help you with all your needs as a Welsh learner in the Gwent area - whatever your level!

In this brochure you’ll find details of all the courses available for those wishing to learn in the Gwent area - the Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport, Torfaen and Monmouthshire Unitary Authorities. The Centre offers a clear progression route from absolute beginners (Mynediad/Entry) right through to those wishing to brush up their Welsh (Hyfedredd/Proficiency).

Therefore, wherever you live, whatever your level, we’ve got a course for you. There are all sorts of courses available - the more often you can attend, the quicker you will learn. The Centre offers both once a week and twice weekly classes. If you can, we’d strongly recommend the twice weekly classes to get you speaking Welsh so much quicker. The results are truly staggering! But it is important to choose a course which best suits your needs.

As it’s so important when learning to use your Welsh as much as possible, we also provide a wide range of opportunities for learners of all levels to practise outside of class - on Welsh Day Schools, Weekend Courses and Summer Schools. In addition there are a wide range of activities for you to practise your Welsh informally in coffee mornings, visits to cultural activities, quizzes and chats in pubs. Basically the more you practise, the better your Welsh will be!

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help and advice. We hope you will be able to find a suitable class and that you will enjoy leaning Welsh with us.

Good luck! Geraint Wilson-Price, Director

Welcome

Want to learn Welsh?

How quickly will I learn Welsh?

Choosing the right course

Congratulations! You’ve taken the most important step in learning Welsh - you’ve decided to join the thousands of people in Wales learning Welsh.

Learning Welsh can be the key to a whole range of new experiences - making many new friends through our informal learning activities, social networking, watching S4C, listening to Welsh radio, music, books, magazines, Eisteddfodau and societies will be opened to you!

Of course, your rate of success will depend on how much practise you can put in. It’s simple, the more Welsh you speak, in and out of class, the quicker you’ll learn. Don’t worry about making mistakes, everyone does, and it’s all part of the learning process!

One way of getting extra practise is the many social activities organised by the staff of the Welsh for Adults Centre. You will have the chance to use your Welsh, whatever your level, in a relaxed atmosphere (no lessons!) with other learners and Welsh speakers. Various activities such as quizzes, twmpathau dawns, singing and treasure hunts as well as chats with other learners, are arranged. Why not try out your Welsh on a sympathetic ear and find out what’s on from your local contact?

Dwys / Intensive:Getting there quickly!Intensive courses are for those who want to learn quickly. Frequent contact with the language boosts your confidence. Progress is fast and the success rate very high, especially if you’ve done some Welsh already. If you can spare the time, these are the best courses for you. Once you’ve completed an intensive course, you’ll be well on the way to complete fluency. Book early as these courses are very popular!

Hamddenol / Leisurely:Once a week classesProgress will be slower by learning once a week but you can supplement it with Day Schools and Weekend Courses. Despite the slower progress, many learners have enjoyed learning this way - and have succeeded.

Ar lein / Online

Skype enables people to make free video calls from one computer to another and allows us to provide one to one lessons, wherever you are. All Welsh levels can be followed through Skype with the Gwent Welsh for Adults Centre. Contact Steffan Webb [email protected] or Skype steffan.webb.cg or phone 01495 333735 to discuss your needs.

First of all it’s as well to be honest with yourself! If you don’t really want to learn Welsh, you won’t. But if you are determined, you will succeed! Today, the emphasis is on speaking Welsh - forget your schooldays! Have fun whilst learning! Basically there are two types of courses for Welsh learners-

Welsh in the Workplace

The Public Sector

The Private Sector

Cymraeg yn y Gweithle

The Gwent Welsh for Adults Centre provides Welsh in the Workplace classes to many public, private and voluntary sector organisations in the Gwent area. Public bodies working in Wales are required to provide bilingual services in accordance with the Welsh Language Act. Training staff to speak Welsh is a vital component of this process. With more public bodies advertising jobs with the ability to speak Welsh being either ‘essential’ or ‘desirable’, bilingualism offers a wider choice of career prospects to staff. Research has also shown that bilingual staff are likely to earn 8 - 10% more than staff unable to speak Welsh. The ability to speak Welsh is increasingly being acknowledged as an essential skill to have in the workplace.

Training staff to speak Welsh is becoming more popular in the private sector, as companies realise the benefits of marketing in Welsh and promoting a bilingual public image. Recent research shows that the majority of Welsh speakers would prefer to deal in Welsh with bilingual companies. Indeed 75% of Welsh speakers are more likely to become customers of companies that use Welsh to market their products. Welsh speakers feel more content and confident speaking their first language, and companies are more likely to retain their custom. Surprisingly over a quarter of non-Welsh speakers are more likely to become customers of a company using Welsh.

Does your employer provide you with Welsh classes in your workplace? If you’re interested in learning Welsh or if you’re interested in providing Welsh classes in your workplace, please contact:

Variety in the WorkplaceWe have a number of new courses now available for workplaces. Cymraeg i’r Gwaith (Welsh for Work) is a new Entry taster course which can be taught over either 5, 10, 15 or 20 weeks, and provides learners with essential core skills for use in the office such as greetings, answering the phone, counting and asking for information, telling the time, discussing money and basic form filling. For those people wishing to acquire Welsh language skills to improve their employment prospects this course is being offered in its 20 week format at all Coleg Gwent’s campuses.

We also have a short taster course for supermarkets and shops, as well as a taster course for nurses.

For students who are more proficient, we have a short course called Magu Hyder (Gaining Confidence) which tackles some of the finer grammatical points, such as noun genders, numbers, commands, ordinals and numerals, mutations and prepositions. This course will be of particular interest to LSA’s or anyone involved with education at Foundation phase. The content can also be adapted to be taught outside the field of primary education.

The Centre, in co-operation with the Office of National Statistics, Newport, is in the process of writing a new course aimed at proficient speakers (Hyfedredd) in the workplace entitled Cymraeg Busnes (Business Welsh). This course will teach technical terminology appropriate to the individual workplace, give staff the experience of translating terminology for their workplace, discuss a variety of workplaces issues, chair meetings, take minutes, write job descriptions, hold job interviews, work on a workplace orientated research project, and should the technology allow – participate in video conferencing.

We are also happy to tailor make a course to your requirements. For an informal discussion about workplace courses, please contact the Welsh in the Workplace Development Officer.

Welsh for the FamilyCymraeg i’r TeuluGwent Welsh for Adults Centre offers Welsh for the Family courses throughout the Gwent area, at a time and location suitable to all.

The classes take place in schools, both Welsh and English medium, in nurseries and mother and toddler groups. With all children learning Welsh in our schools, parents, family and friends also want to learn Welsh so that they can support the children.

There is a new National Welsh for the Family course for parents, grandparents, carers, guardians and any family member who wants to learn to speak Welsh and use the language with children. It is suitable for complete beginners or for those who have some previous knowledge of the language. The patterns and vocabulary are presented in a structured and progressive method due to their usefulness in a child-raising context.

The themes in Cymraeg i’r Teulu are interlinked with those in the Foundation Phase taught at school, making it possible for families to interact with children on topics they are already familiar with. The course includes games and songs making it possible for you to engage with children.

We also have a course for new parents who have babies and children under three years old. Cymraeg o’r Crud (Welsh from the Cradle) is a special taster course for parents of babies 0-36 months old. Cymraeg o’r Crud is a course of 10 sessions, of one and a half hours each. It introduces simple language patterns and phrases such as “dere i newid dy gewin” (come and have your nappy changed) and “ti’n werth y byd” (you are worth the whole world).

Useful vocabulary is also learned, e.g parts of the body, clothes, toys and colours. The course also offers advice on how to read stories with your children and how to sing songs while learning.

The main focus of the Welsh for the Family and Cymraeg o’r Crud courses is using Welsh with children in a relaxed, informal and fun way through

• conversation• daily routine• singing• reading• playing games• commands• greetings and much more.

Come and join one of our classes to have fun learning Welsh and why not also bring a family member or a friend along.

It is a good idea for any learner to start using the language outside the classroom straight away. We as a Centre understand how important it is for you as a family to be able to practise and progress using Welsh in an informal fun environment. There are several events and activities for you to enjoy as a family and plenty of opportunities to join in without feeling overwhelmed and confused. Come along to our Welsh for the Family Weekend courses where you will have 2 mornings packed full of fun activities to practise your Welsh with the children. Our Welsh for the Family Day Schools run alongside the main Welsh Day Schools but concentrate on using Welsh as a family.

For further information on the above courses, please contact:Ffion Green, Welsh for the Family and Welsh from the Cradle Development [email protected] or 01495 333711

WLPAN Fast track coursesGwent Welsh for Adults Centre offer WLPAN (fast track) classes as a faster and very efficient method of learning Welsh as a complete beginner to the language or for those with a little knowledge or background of Welsh.

The classes are run throughout Gwent and classes can take place in colleges or schools or local community halls or centres. The WLPAN sessions are held twice a week with each session being two hours. During the first year of WLPAN learners cover 30 units of work with one unit being covered every week, with the final 30 units of work being covered during the second year.

The aim of the course is to learn Welsh through the medium of Welsh as far as is possible. The course is designed to enable the learners to use basic phrases in both the present and past tense very early on in the course so that learners are able to converse in the classroom without the use of English after only a few weeks. Although conversational Welsh is the main aim of the course, learners also get a chance to practise reading, listening and writing skills.

At the end of the first year learners have the option of sitting their first examination at Mynediad (Entry) level at no extra cost. And at the end of the second year, the choice to sit the Sylfaen (Foundation) level of examination.Although learning Welsh through WLPAN methods requires a fair amount of commitment

and drive from the learner it can also give back a lot of satisfaction as progression is rapid. The classes are hard working with the pace being fast and steady but the methods of teaching are fun, informal and enjoyable. The WLPAN method of learning Welsh has proved to be very successful with many learners going on to achieve total fluency in the language and some even choosingWelsh language based careers paths.

With Welsh being increasingly acknowledged as an essential skill to have in the workplace and more and more jobs being advertised with the ability to speak Welsh being ‘desirable’ or even ‘essential’, learning Welsh through the fast track option can mean a wider choice of career option. Also, with many more children now attending Welsh medium education schools, learning Welsh through the WLPAN method can help parents achieve the skills and knowledge of the language in order to assist their child in all aspects of their educational needs.

Why not come along to a class and see for yourselves and open up a whole new world of possibilities.

Welsh is Welsh, or Welsh is Cymraeg as we might say, and as one of Europe’s Oldest languages you could enjoy spending a long time learning the whole Welsh Language.

Or, you could just go for the less stressful approach of Cymraeg Lite!

It’s a bit like cheating in the kitchen. Maximum results with minimum input.

Many people are busy and many only want to know enough to get by. You learn some Welsh but not everything.

To greet the neighbours, say a few words in the coffee shop or read nursery stories to your children. To sing the National anthem without having to mime or mumble your way through hoping that friends and family will not listen too closely or to be more confident in answering the phone at work.

Our Cymraeg Lite taster courses could be just what you are looking for with around 20 hours’ work instead of the normal 60 hours.

These can be specific Welsh for the Family or Welsh in the Workplace sessions so that your efforts are really focused on learning what you want to learn.

Should you want to go on and do more – that’s fine. If you find that the Cymraeg Lite session is enough – that’s fine as well.

Learning some Welsh is easier than you think – give it a go!

Pan dych chi’n dysgu sgil newydd fel iaith, mae mor bwysig ymarfer gymaint ag sy’n bosibl. Faint bynnag o amser a dreuliwch chi yn myfyrio dros lyfrau, y peth gorau i chi ei wneud yw siarad Cymraeg gymaint ag sy’n bosibl. Bydd eich tiwtor yn gwneud ei orau glas i sicrhau bod y pwyslais yn y dosbarth ar siarad Cymraeg. Mae Canolfan Cymraeg i Oedolion Gwent yn cydnabod pa mor bwysig yw hi i chi ymarfer Cymraeg y tu allan i’r ystafell ddosbarth trwy drefnu gweithgareddau cymdeithasol.

Trefnir y gweithgareddau niferus hyn er mwyn i chi glywed a siarad Cymraeg gymaint ag sy’n bosibl ac yn bennaf oll, i chi gael ymlacio a chael hwyl wrth eu gwneud. Dyn ni’n darparu cyfleoedd i ddysgwyr ymarfer Cymraeg ledled Gwent sy’n amrywio o: Eisteddfod y Dysgwyr; cwisiau; boreau coffi; nosweithiau yn y dafarn; teithiau cerdded; a thripiau. Anogwn ni chi i’w mynychu i wella’ch Cymraeg - maen nhw i gyd o werth i chi!

Anogir dysgwyr i fynychu digwyddiadau cymdeithasau Cymraeg lleol lle mae croeso cynnes bob tro i ddysgwyr Cymraeg. Y peth pwysicaf yn hyn oll yw eich bod yn cael y cyfle i ymarfer eich Cymraeg, beth bynnag eich lefel.

Whenever you’re learning a new skill such as a language, it’s so important to practise as much as possible. However much time you spend pouring over books, the best thing you can do is speak Welsh as much as possible. Your tutor will make every effort to ensure the emphasis is on speaking Welsh as much as possible in class. The Gwent Welsh for Adults Centre recognises how important it is for you to practise your Welsh outside the classroom by organising a wide range of social activities.

These numerous activities are designed so that you can hear and speak Welsh as much as possible. The most important thing is to relax and have fun whilst doing these activities. We provide opportunities for learners all over Gwent to practise their Welsh informally. The types of activities arranged vary from: coffee mornings, Learners’ Eisteddfod, quizzes, evenings in the pub to have a chat, walks, and trips. We encourage you to attend these to help your Welsh – just listening to Welsh will help you no end!

We encourage learners to attend local events held in Welsh by local societies where there is always a warm welcome for Welsh Learners. The most important thing is that you have an opportunity to practise your Welsh - whatever your level.

Case Study

Craig & LisaWe as a couple, Craig & Lisa, have been learning Welsh

since July 2008. We started at The Hill in Abergavenny

at a summer school provided by Coleg Gwent. When

we began learning we had no knowledge of the Welsh

language and were complete beginners. At that time

we had a 11mth old baby girl, Ffion. We began learning

Welsh because as Ffion would get older we wanted

her to attend the local Welsh language school, Ysgol

Cymraeg Cwm Gwyddon. In order to help her with her

school work and learning we thought that it would be

a good idea to learn the language so we would be able

to help with her education. It had also been a life time

ambition of ours to learn the language.

After attending the summer school we then went on to study

the language further, attending regular classes once a week in

the evening. We have now just completed level Canolradd and

are looking forward to the next level. Learning the language has

been great fun and has helped in all parts of our life including

work. Lisa now works part time in the local Cylch Meithrin.

We have made some great friends along the way and have

attended some great events through the medium of Welsh,

which wouldn’t have been possible, without learning the

language. We both won Welsh Learner Of The Year in 2012 with

Caerphilly Borough Council, which we are very proud of. Ffion

is now 6 and in full time Welsh medium education. She loves

being able to talk & read with us in Welsh, and we personally

think it has helped with her education. We also have 2 yr old,

Seren, who attends the local Ti a Fi group and will shortly be

able to attend the local Cylch Meithrin. Her Welsh language

is developing well and her understanding of the language is

growing all the time.

“Dyn ni wedi dysgyu Cymraeg ers mis Awst 2008, pan

aethon ni i’r Ysgol Haf gyntaf yn Yr Hill, Y Fenni. Pan

ddaethon ni i’r Ysgol Haf, doedd dim gair o Gymraeg

gyda ni. Ar y pryd, roedd ein merch hena, Ffion, yn 11

mis oed. Ro’n ni eisiau i Ffion fynd i’r ysgol Gymraeg a

ni gaethon ni y siawns i ddysgu yn yr ysgol. Dyn ni’n

meddwl fod e’n bwysig iawn i helpu ein plant gyda’u

gwaith cartref a gwaith ysgol.”

“Ar ôl yr Ysgol Haf, ron ni wedi cofestru ar ddosbarth nos

(Mynediad 2) ac aethon ni i ddosbarth wythnosol yn Nhy

Rhydychen ble dyn ni wedi bod yn dysgu tan nawr. Dyn ni

newydd gorffen lefel Canolradd a wnaeth Craig sefyll yr arholiad

Canolradd eleni. Dyn ni’n gobeithio dechrau’r lefel nesaf ym

mis Medi.

Dyn ni wedi mynychu llawer o ddigwyddiadau, ar ein pen ein

hunan ac fel teulu. Sioe Jonathan, diwrnod i’r teulu, ysgolion

undydd a phenwythnosau. Mae dysgu’r iaith yn llawer o hwyl

a dyn ni’n meddwl bod hyn wedi helpu ni gyda phob rhan o’n

bywydau fel teulu ac unigolion. “

Ers dechrau dysgu Cymraeg mae Lisa wedi dechrau gweithio

yn y Cylch Meithrin lleol a mae Ffion yn chwech oed nawr ac yn

mwynhau mynychu’r ysgol Gymraeg leol. Mae’r par wedi cael

merch arall, Seren sy’n ddwy oed. Bydd Seren yn dechrau yn

y Cylch Meithrin lleol cyn bo’ hir. Mae Lisa a Seren yn mynd i’r

Grw p Ti a Fi gyda’i gilydd yn wythnosol. Yn 2012 enillodd Craig

a Lisa gwobr gyda Awdurdod Caerffili – Welsh Learner of the

Year - achylsur hapus iawn gan fod dysgu’r iaith mor bwysig

iddyn nhw.

“Dyn ni’n gwneud llawer o ffrindiau ar ein taith a dyn ni wedi

mynychu digwyddiadau fasen ni byth wedi wneud o’r blaen

tasen ni ddim yn dysgu Cymraeg. Dyn ni wrth ein bodd yn

darllen yn Gymraeg gyda’r merched a mae llyfrau Cymraeg gyda

ni yn y ty. Dyn ni’n credu fod e’n helpu Ffion gyda ei haddysg hi a

Seren gyda ei datblygiad iaith hi.”

Case Study

CarolineCanolradd 1

Ysbyty Brenhinol Gwent

I have been learning Welsh since 2008. I decided

to learn Welsh for a number of reasons.

I work in a hospital and I want to make a

difference to the patients as they recuperate. It’s

very important that the patient feels comfortable

when being admitted into hospital, and

understands fully what’s going to happen. I am

the Welsh Language Champion in my workplace

and I am also a member of the Welsh Language

Steering Group, the Welsh Language Action

Group and the Welsh Learners’ Forum.

Furthermore, I want to speak Welsh with my

daughter, and to help her with her homework. I

also enjoy reading her stories at bedtime.

I have also attended a number of day schools

and family fun days. I organised a St David’s Day

Celebration Evening in our local ‘Rainbows Unit’

too. This allowed the Rainbows to compete for

their Welsh Challenge Badge.

Dw i wedi bod yn dysgu Cymraeg ers 2008.

Penderfynais i ddysgu am nifer o resymau.

Dw i’n gweithio mewn ysbyty ac dw i eisiau

gwneud gwahanaeth i’r cleifion wrth iddyn

nhw wella. Mae’n bwysig iawn i’r claf deimlo’n

gyffyrddus wrth ddod i mewn i’r ysbyty ac yn

deall beth sy’n mynd i ddigwydd. Pencampwr yr

Iaith Gymraeg dw i yn fy ngwaith ac dw i’n aelod

o Grw p Llywio’r Iaith Gymraeg, Grw p Gweithredol

yr Iaith Gymraeg a Fforwm Dysgwyr Cymraeg

hefyd.

Yn ogystal â hyn, dw i eisiau siarad yn Gymraeg â

fy merch i, a’i helpu gyda’i gwaith cartref. Dw i’n

mwynhau darllen straeon iddi hi amser gwely.

Dw i hefyd wedi mynychu nifer o ysgolion

undydd a diwrnodau i’r teulu. Dw i wedi cynnal

Noson Dathliadau Dydd Gw yl Dewi yn ein

‘Uned Rainbows’ lleol. Roedd hyn wedi galluogi’r

Rainbows i gystadlu am eu Bathodyn Her

Cymreig.

Dw i wedi dysgu cymaint o sgiliau newydd ac

wedi cwrdd â llawer o bobl newydd ers dechrau

dysgu Cymraeg. Dw i wedi cwrdd â phobl yn yr

ysbyty do’n i ddim yn eu nabod o’r blaen!

Dw i eisiau siarad Cymraeg yn rhugl a threiglo’n

gywir heb feddwl.

viable, we may close the class and will make

every effort to offer you an alternative option.

cost of the course to which you are transferring

is greater than the course on which you

originally enrolled, we reserve the right to ask

you for the difference in cost for that particular

course. This is dependent on how much of the

course remains.

the information in the Prospectus is accurate at

all times, some changes may occur during the

year, without notice. The Centre reserves the

right to amend, change or cancel any provision

Ymrestru / FfioeddMae gennych 3 dewis o ran ymrestru ar un o’n Cyrsiau Cymraeg i Oedolion:

1) Ffonio’r Ganolfan (01495 333710) pan gymerir y manylion a chaiff ffioedd y cwrs eu prosesu drwy gerdyn debyd/ credyd. Caiff ffurflen wedi ei rhagargraffu ei rhoi i chi yn eich dosbarth cyntaf i’w chadarnhau a’i llofnodi.

2) Ymweld â’r Ganolfan (Coleg Gwent, Pont-y-pw l) lle bydd yn ofynnol i chi gwblhau ffurflen ymrestru a thalu drwy siec neu gerdyn debyd / credyd.

3) Ymrestru yn eich dosbarth cyntaf lle bo’n hanfodol eich bod yn cwblhau POB rhan y ffurflen ymrestru, ei llofnodi a’i chyflwyno i’r Ganolfan / tiwtor. Pan gaiff y Ganolfan eich ffurflen ymrestru bydd anfoneb yn cael ei hanfon atoch chi. Bydd methu â thalu yn gwrthdroi pob archeb.

Bydd Dewis 1 neu 2 yn sicrhau eich lle ar y cwrs ond ni allwn warantu lle drwy ddewis 3 gan fod gennym niferoedd gofynnol ar gyfer pob dosbarth.

Gostyngiad yn Ffi’r CwrsMae gostyngiad o 100% ar gael (ac eithrio cyrsiau penwythnos / wythnos ac Ysgolion Undydd) i’r sawl sy’n derbyn Cymhorthdal Incwm, Lwfans Cyflogaeth a Chymorth Cysylltiedig ag Incwm, Lwfans Ceisio Gwaith ar Sail Incwm, Credyd Pensiwn Gwarantedig, neu os ydych chi’n fyfyriwr amser llawn gyda Choleg Gwent. I dderbyn y gostyngiad hwn, rhaid i chi ddangos neu anfon copi cyfredol o unrhyw ddogfennau perthnasol sy’n nodi’ch hawl i dderbyn budd-dâl neu bensiwn, neu’ch statws yn fyfyriwr gyda’ch ffurflen ymrestru. Mae gostyngiad o 50% ar gael yn y ffi i’r sawl sy’n derbyn Credydau Treth Gweithio. Bydd dysgwyr sydd o bosibl yn gymwys i beidio â thalu ffioedd yn cael eu hanfonebu am ffioedd oni bai bod Prawf Budd-dâl yn dod i law erbyn y diwrnod ymrestru ac ni chaiff ei gredydu nes ar ôl derbyn prawf budd-dal wedi hynny. Sylwch fod yn rhaid i’r Prawf Budd-dâl fod yn enw’r dysgwr ac na fydd Cyfriflenni Banc yn cael eu derbyn ond pan fo’n eglur pa fath o fudd-dal sy’n cael ei dderbyn e.e. credyd treth gweithio.

Anfonebau CyflogwyrOs yw’ch cyflogwr yn bwriadu talu am eich cwrs, rhaid i chi gwblhau’r wybodaeth berthnasol ar y ffurflen ymrestru gan roi’r enw cyswllt, yr adran ac enw a chyfeiriad eich cyflogwr er mwyn ein galluogi ni i anfon

anfoneb atynt yn gofyn am daliad. Os byddwch chi’n ymrestru ar gwrs ar ôl 1 Tachwedd bydd angen i chi atodi llythyr awdurdodi neu Archeb Brynu oddi wrth eich cyflogwr wrth eich ffurflen ymrestru.

Canslo Cyrsiau ac Ad-daliadauGwneir pob ymdrech i osgoi canslo neu fyrhau cyrsiau. Lle nad yw cyrsiau’n hyfyw, mae’n bosibl y byddwn yn cau’r dosbarth a byddwn yn gwneud pob ymdrech i gynnig opsiwn arall i chi. Mae Coleg Gwent yn cadw’r hawl i gau neu ganslo cyrsiau o ganlyniad i ddigwyddiadau arbennig neu amgylchiadau tu hwnt i’w reolaeth. Ni chodir unrhyw ffioedd am hyn.

Ni ad-delir ffioedd os dymunwch dynnu’n ôl o’r cwrs yn gynnar. Bydd Canolfan Cymraeg i Oedolion Gwent yn ad-dalu ffioedd: pan gaiff cwrs ei ganslo gan y Ganolfan, os bydd newid i’r lleoliad neu os bydd newid i’r diwrnod / amser yn ystod y cwrs.

Telerau TaluDylai pob ymholiad am delerau talu gael ei gyfeirio at Reolwr Adnoddau / Swyddog Cyllid y Campws neu i aelod o staff yn yr Adran Gyllid Ganolog ym Mhont-y-pw l.

Dulliau TaluGallwch dalu ag arian parod, siec, cerdyn credyd neu ddebyd, drafftiau banc, trosglwyddiadau banc a rhandaliadau debyd uniongyrchol. Nid yw’r Coleg yn derbyn American Express

Eich cyfrifoldeb chi yn y pen draw yw talu ffioedd y cwrs, oni bai bod nawdd cyflogwr gennych ar waith.

Os dechreuwch gwrs yn yr ail neu’r trydydd tymor, mae talu ffioedd pro-rata ar sail pob tymor yn dderbyniol yn ôl disgresiwn Cyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan. Cewch eich anfonebu’n awtomatig oni bai bod prawf o nawdd wedi cael ei dderbyn erbyn y dyddiad ymrestru ac ni chewch eich credydu ond ar ôl i brawf dilynol o nawdd gael ei dderbyn.

Amodau Debyd UniongyrcholMae’n bosibl talu am eich cwrs drwy Ddebyd Uniongyrchol. Uchafswm y rhandaliadau sydd ar gael yw pump ac mae’n rhaid talu’r rhandaliad cyntaf wrth gofrestru a thalu’r rhandaliadau eraill drwy Ddebyd Uniongyrchol ar ddiwrnod cyntaf pob mis yn union ar ôl y dyddiad ymrestru.

Nid yw Debydau Uniongyrchol ar gael pan fydd cyflogwr yn talu ffioedd y dysgwr. Nid yw opsiwn debyd uniongyrchol ar gael i ddysgwyr

sy’n ymrestru ar gyrsiau byr h.y. cyrsiau sy’n llai na 30 wythnos.

Rhaid i ffi lawn cwrs gael ei thalu hyd yn oed os gadewch y cwrs yn gynnar.

TrosglwyddiadauCewch drosglwyddo o un cwrs i gwrs arall yn ystod cyfnod y cwrs rydych wedi ymrestru arno’n wreiddiol. Os digwydd hyn, ac mae cost y cwrs rydych wedi trosglwyddo iddo yn uwch na chost y cwrs y gwnaethoch ymrestru arno’n wreiddiol, cadwn yr hawl i ofyn i chi am y gwahaniaeth yng nghost y cwrs penodol hwnnw. Mae hyn yn dibynnu ar faint o’r cwrs sydd ar ôl.

Sylwch:Er y gwneir pob ymdrech i sicrhau bod yr holl wybodaeth yn y Prosbectws bob amser yn gywir, gall rhai newidiadau ddigwydd yn ystod y flwyddyn, a hynny heb rybudd. Mae’r Ganolfan yn cadw’r hawl i ddiwygio, newid neu ganslo unrhyw ddarpariaeth o fewn y Prosbectws hwn heb rybudd ymlaen llaw. Os digwydd hyn, gwneir pob ymdrech resymol i leihau unrhyw anghyfleustra.

Iechyd a DiogelwchMae pob myfyriwr Cymraeg i Oedolion Gwent, wrth astudio ar un o gyrsiau Coleg Gwent, yn gyfrifol am ei ddiogelwch ei hun a diogelwch pobl eraill. Dylai pob myfyriwr fod yn ymwybodol o bolisïau iechyd a diogelwch Coleg Gwent ac o bolisi Cod Ymddygiad y Ganolfan, fel y’u hamlinellir yn Llawlyfr Myfyrwyr y Ganolfan.

Sylwch yn benodol ar y canlynol:• gadewch i’r tiwtor wybod os penderfynwch

ymadael â’r wers yn gynharach nag amser gorffen arferol y wers

• gadewch i’r tiwtor wybod os ydych chi’n sâl neu os na allwch fynd i’r wers

• gadewch i’r tiwtor wybod am unrhyw ddamweiniau sy’n digwydd mewn gwers neu yn ystod gweithgaredd dysgu anffurfiol

• wrth fynychu gweithgareddau dysgu anffurfiol, rhaid i chi drefnu ffordd ddiogel o gyrraedd y lleoliad a dychwelyd adref.

Ni chaniateir ysmygu mewn unrhyw leoliad.

Rhaid rhoi gwybod i’r tiwtoriaid ar unwaith am unrhyw ddamweiniau a rhaid llenwi ffurflenni damwain.

Telerau ac amodau’r ffurflen ymrestru(Cyrsiau Coleg Gwent yn unig)
