Proposal for Restructuring ALHS2011-12 School Year

– Study the idea of moving ALHS to an 8-12 building – beginning fall of 2011-12 School YearWhy?– Due to space constraints at the elementary schools– Declining enrollment and space available at ALHS

How do You Address the Public?

• If you are out in the community and asked about this proposal what can you say?– The elementary building are at capacity– Economic situation makes it difficult to add on additional

classroom space to our current elementary buildings– ALHS opened in May of 2000 with an enrollment exceeding

1,200 students– The School Board has asked the administration and staff to

look at restructuring our buildings to address these issues
