LUNCH Profile

LUNCH offers not only a quality catering presence to PCL’s project but also a strong retail background that will create a distinct level of service and a pleasing variety of products. We are a dynamic and flexible company ready to work collaboratively with PCL in order to meet its unique needs throughout the period of the project at the CSE building site.

Modeled after a popular chain of restaurants in the UK, LUNCH was started in 2007 by a small group of local entrepreneurs. Now with four locations in Ottawa, including a commis-sary, the company has evolved to accommo-date the local market. LUNCH produces all of its offerings from scratch using only the freshest of ingredients. This ensures both a genuinely healthy product without compro-mising taste.

The infrastructure at LUNCH is designed to accommodate large events and festivals. The company participated as a vendor at Cisco’s Blues Festival and operated a satellite loca-tion in a temporary build-out for Canada Public Works in Ottawa’s CD Howe Complex; servicing a building population of 5000. LUNCH is adapting to improve the concept of

cafeteria services for the PCL project. CEO Tim Van Dyke has previously invested and owned in the retail gas and convenience sector and brings a valuable network of suppliers.

The ability to complement LUNCH’s fresh food services with a vast array of conve-nience items will create the optimum retail food environment for PCL’s trades people and labourers. Our company’s strong rela-tionship with national brands, such as Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, Nestle, and Cadbury to name a few, will help provide the necessary infra-structure as well as a diversity of product.

LUNCH has created a unique menu to suit the needs of the on-site store for PCL’s CSE building site. This menu is considerate of price-point and selection. As a value-add to PCL’s executive branch, we encourage you to refer to our website at www.thinklunch.ca to realise some of the more distinctive menu selections we provide for our professional corporate catering clients. Our extensive list of clients has included the Prime Minister’s Office, the Office of the Auditor General, and a broad selection of Ottawa’s private sector champions.
