Dear Colleagues We are indeed fortunate to have Prof Arturo Solares, Prof Andreas Leunig and Dr George Marcels with us for this hand-on course. Endoscopic sinus surgery has become part of most ENT surgeon’s daily practice but there is still plenty to learn on how to improve your techniques.
This course is designed for both the novice and more advanced surgeons wishing to extend their practice. After a thorough review of Endoscopic Sinus Surgery under the guidance of Andreus Leunig, one of Germany’s premier endoscopic sinus surgeons, the course participant can choose to either hone their skills on advanced external rhinoplasty techniques under the expert tutelage of George Marcells, who is Australia’s leading rhinoplasty surgeon or to explore endoscopic skull base surgery.
Arturo Solares is back with us and he is currently Professor at Emory University in Atlanta and heads its Skull Base program. His seminal works on endoscopic anatomy and how and why to choose specific approaches are well known. He has a large experience with parapharyngeal carotid dissections and his work complements our own vast experience in dealing with perineural spread along the trigeminal nerve.
The facility we have at UQ is world class and I promise a great social evening amongst your Brisbane hosts and hope you all have a memorable experience both professionally and as a team of friends.
