About the Job This position will include the GPS mapping of features such as village center and rural agro-dealers as we develop our supply chain. The chosen candidate will work Zasaka CEO Carl Jensen to map the region and surrounding assets, gather feedback from consumers on purchasing habits and product performance, and assist in design and development of appropriate agricultural technologies. If working during the summer period, key outputs will include maps of Chipata and Katete District, co-authorship and implementation of consumer survey in Chipata, and work with the team on development of manual planting technologies.
Qualifications Zasaka is looking for a well-rounded candidate with the mechanical savvy to contribute to design discussion and decisions, the dexterity and know-how to work with metal and other materials, and the business sense to help chart the path of those products to consumers. Specific qualifications include:
• Experience with GIS programs and strategic mapping • Willingness to learn • Willingness to go with the flow
