This Christmas season we would l ike to share with ourreaders Van ' s Visi ta t ion , as he wrote i t in his own wordsin his book "Into This World and Out Again" .ANGELS ARE PEOPLE

"And the angel that ta lk ed with me cameaga in,and waked me, as a man that iswakened out of his sleep."(Zechariah 4s1 )This paragraph f i t s exactly the experience that I hadon August 24th of 1953.Having fa i t h that there are space people, and commun-icat ion with them by thought t ransference, are two condi-t ions of the mind tha t are real . However , one cannot puthis fingers on faith or thought .Angels were always considered, by me, to be some va-porous type of after l i fe that just floa te d about here andthere. My entire concept of things changed with the phys-ica l man i f ested appearance of one of these angels to me.From the position of the fu l l moon, I judged i t to bearound 2 A.M. On the deser t here i t is nearly as brightin ful l moonlight as i t is in dayl i ght, I awakened notknowing why, but sensing that something had happened thathad dis tu rbed me. We sleep outside about 8 months out ofth e year, so you can see that our bedroom is readily ac-

cessable,As I looked up from the bed I saw a man standing a-bout six feet away from the foot of the bed. This was notuncommon as we operate a public airport and have been a-wakened many times by our dogs barking at people comingin during the night. However, at this time not a soundwas heard from the dogs . This was recalled la te r and wa scertainly unusual,I asked the man what he wanted, th inking his car

might have given him t roubl e and he had walked in t o ourremote f i eld as many others have done. At the same time Isa t up in bed, Beyond the man, about a hundred yards away,hovered a gl i t ter ing, glowing ship, around eight feet offthe ground.I knew then he was not having car trouble. The mansaid, "My name is Solgonda, I would be pleased to showyou our craf t . ''

SPIDERWORTWe learned from a San Francisco paper that plants area bet ter and safer monitor for nulear plants One smallwildflower whose blue parts turn pink in the presence of

low-level radi t ion has the potential to keep unclean or -nuclear plants in check, a genetics proof.The spiderwort developes pink spots on i ts three bluepetals or pink cel ls on i ts 300 blue stamen hairs when inpresence of radioactivi ty, according to Sadao Ichikawa.When Ichikawa, professor a t Saitama University in Japan, visi ted San Francisco recently he lectured on the potent ia ls of the spiderwort 's pollut ion-sensit ive proper t i e s .Spiderworts planted close to ,or downwind from severalJapanese atomic power faci l i t ies shower up in changes ofincreased numbers of cel l mutations after being exposed -during routine operations, Ichikawa said.While the spiderwort reacted within a week or two thepower company and government off ic ia ls report no increaseusing standard instruments.Because cel ls of both the plants and the humans show"similiar sens i t iv i ty" , Ichikawa believes humans who l ivenear nuclear plants may run an increased r isk of cel l mu-tat ions and cancer that may not show up for years.The special nature of this native American flower wasf i r s t examined in the 1960's a t Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York. But Brookhaven biologist , LloydSchairer, was cautious in his conclusions aboutthe apiderwort. He said more genetic evidence is needed before thisl ink can be firmly established between the plant reaction
