System Selection Select a computer system that you see a need
for You are encouraged to have a real client for
your system but that is not a requirement The most important factor:
Choose a system that interests you!!
System Criteria 1 The system must access and update databases,
must generate reports and must carry out some kind of transaction processing (e.g. creation of sale, updating of inventory)
Games might not use databases; in that case they must do some kind of file manipulation
System Criteria 2 The system must be of a “reasonable” size as
judged by the 566 instructor The instructor can help each team
increase/decrease the size of their system by suggesting adjustments to scope

Team Selection 3 to 4 people NO exceptions to the 4 person limit Programming skills required!

Project Requirements By the end of 566 you must deliver a
complete system design Note: You cannot pass this course without
delivering a complete and acceptable system design as part of a team—your system must receive a passing grade.
