With families consistently moving in and out of the area, our enrolments are fluctuating on a daily basis. Based on information provided to us from families, we will start next week on an enrolment of 276 students. I would like to express my best wishes to our families who are moving and welcome our new families, some who have enrolled this week. Thank you to all the families who have already registered through the online booking system time to meet the teacher next week. This will be a great opportunity for parents and students to chat with the teacher about individual learning aspirations in 2020. Please remember that, even though the weather is being inconsistent, students are expected to wear hats during term 1. This is related to the UV levels, not the heat or the sun.

’Get to Know You’ meetings
’Get to Know You’ meetings are taking place next week! Have you booked an appointment time for you and
your child to meet with their teacher? You should have received information last week, regarding these
meetings, and how to book a meeting time.
They are a great way for you, your child and the teacher to get to know each other a little better, build
stronger connections with the school community, and work together to support your child’s development
and learning success.
Please make sure you book a time to meet with your child’s teacher, and share information that will enable
us to better support your child’s learning. If you are unable to complete the booking process yourself at
home, please come and speak to me or your child’s teacher and we will be able to help you.
Please refer to the next page for more information and instructions on how to book a
meeting time. Di Fernand

How to book a ‘Get to Know You’ meeting time
This year we are using an online system that enables you to book the date and time that best suits you.
The online system reduces the time involved in the process, and your meeting time is locked in
immediately. We will have facilities available at school for you to access to book your times, if you are
unable to do so at home. Please contact me if you require assistance.
Follow the steps below to book your meeting time(s):
Go to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code fudp9
Enter your details
Select the teachers you wish to see
Select the appointment times that suit your family best
When you click FINISH, your selected bookings will be emailed to you immediately. If you
do not receive your email, please check your junk-mail, or enter the event code again and
check your email address spelling.
Update your details if email address is incorrect.
DO NOT DELETE the email you receive. Keep it somewhere safe. You may need to refer back to it at a
later date.
REMEMBER TO ADD YOUR APPOINTMENTS TO YOUR CALENDAR - reminders will not be sent home.
If you need to view, cancel, change or print your bookings:
Click on the link in the confirmation email you received after you made your bookings
OR return to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code and the email address you used when making your bookings.
Interviews are strictly 15 minutes and spaces are limited. If you require more time with a particular
teacher, please arrange a separate meeting by telephoning the school on 5996 1744.
Bookings must be finalised by Monday 17th February at 4pm.

At Cranbourne Primary School learning starts at 9am every day.
Missing even one day of school can make children fall behind in class. Even if it is the day before or after a school
break, students are learning new things every day that will help them stay on track. It is important to also be on
time each day so students don’t miss important parts of class.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Recently there has been a number of students arriving at school prior to 8:00am. While we understand how busy the
morning rush can be, we ask that students are not dropped off at school before 8:30am. Supervision of the yard begins at
8:45am and Learning Community doors opening at 8:50am.
Cranbourne Primary School runs a Breakfast Club program located in the Gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The program
opens at 8:15am and closes at 8:45am. Students can attend and receive toast, juice and cereal.
For those who require extra support, Before and Afterschool Care information can be collected from the front office.
At C.P.S we PRIDE ourselves on developing life skills in our students. It would be great to see all students and families
using our school crossings before and after school. Crossings are located on Bakewell and Russell Street. For families
who drop off and pick up in Childers Street (Behind our BER building) please ensure students are ESCORTED across the
road.
We appreciate your support to ensure our students are always safe!!!

2020 CSEF applications are now open.
If you applied for csef through Cranbourne primary school last year there is no need to apply again, unless your circumstances have changed.
If you are new to our school and need to apply, application forms are available from the office.
Welcome to the Foundations 2020
Here at Cranbourne Primary School we believe in the values of PRIDE.
We are demonstrating Persistence in our learning tasks and changing our mindset from ‘I
cant’ to ‘I will have a go’.
We are showing Responsibility by remembering to bring our Blue Reading folders and dia-
ries to school every day.
We are understanding our Individuality and ensuring we are celebrating our personalities
and our own likes/dislikes.
We are developing our Discipline and learning to follow our school rules to keep us safe at
school.
And we are displaying Enthusiasm throughout our days making our learning FUN and suc-
cessful.
Seniors Marshmallow & Spaghetti Challenge
In the seniors, we did a Marshmallow and Spaghetti challenge. We had to work as a team and see
how tall we could make our Spaghetti tower.
It also had to be strong enough to support a Marshmallow.
It was a fun and tricky challenge and at the end, we ate the marshmallows!
