Principal’s Message
Welcome to an exciting new term that already has a full
calendar of big events and happenings.
Great Husky Fair
Firstly the Great Husky Fair is fast approaching. Saturday 2
November is the big day. Tickets in our big raffle are available
at the school office. You can purchase one ticket or take a
book. The more tickets, the better chances, you have of
winning one of the great prizes. At $5 a ticket it’s a bargain!
Staffing Update
Miss Malby who is now Mrs McMillan shared some good news
with Mrs Hanson the other day. Mrs McMillan was very
excited to tell Mrs Hanson she is expecting a baby in March
next year. Congratulations Mrs McMillan from everyone at
Huskisson Public School.
Mrs Watson on her last day of camping during the holidays
rolled her ankle. Mrs Watson needs this week to rest and
elevate her foot. At this stage Mrs Watson is hoping to be back
next week. She will probably be in a boot to support her
recovery.
Mr Frost is still in the UK. He will resume duties Monday of
Week 3.
Finally Ms Lewis is back in Australia after trekking through
Nepal. Ms Lewis returns to work next Tuesday after attending
the wedding of her best friend in Kingscliff.
Albatross Musical
Congratulations to Evie G, Keshna B and Olivia T who
performed in the Junior Albatross Musical production of
Disney Aladdin Jr at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre
during the holidays. Staff who attended were very impressed
as well as entertained by the production.
Dance2BeFit Performance
Congratulations to all classes on their great Dance2Befit
performances on Wednesday of the last week of Term 3. What
a valuable program that positively engages our students in
dance, music and performance, as well as providing the
opportunity to showcase their skills and personalities. Next
year we will book the program for Term 3 again.

program has proven to be popular and very beneficial. All
classes are attending. The program is funded by Sporting
Schools Australia funded by the Commonwealth Government.
Therefore most of the cost is subsidised. Payment is due by
next Friday.

The local Men’s Shed delivered the first of three projects they
have completed for the school. Seating around the tree near
the Stage 2 classrooms was installed today. Our students are

Soccer Clinic Today, each class from K-6, were outside in the sunshine
to practise soccer skills with Mark. There were lots of
great games and activities that targeted fitness and spe-
cific skills and strategies. These mini clinics will run over
the next 3 weeks. Thanks Mark!
Upgrades at Plantation Point Reserve Shoalhaven City Council has received funding under the NSW
Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund for up-
grades to the playground, amenities and beach access at
Plantation Point Reserve, Vincentia.
The upgrades include:
a new playground that is inclusive to all ages and abilities
a new amenities building with provisions for persons with a disability
a mural on the external surface of the amenities
accessible beach access from the reserve to Barfleur Beach.
The current funding will allow for the staged development of
new play equipment. With community support and encour-
agement, if the council were to input additional funding, a
more suitable playground that meets the needs of the grow-
ing community would be a possibility, like the one featured
below.
