CALSTART’s  History  of  EV  Experience      

ü  In  the  1990’s,  CALSTART  led  a  mulR-­‐party  effort  to  build  500+    EV  charging  staRons  in  CA

•  Today,  CALSTART’s  new  parking  lot  canopy  and  roo\op  solar  panels  provide  clean,  renewable  energy  to  the  Pasadena  headquarters  building,  and  allow  our  growing  fleet  of  EV’s  to  charge  with  near  zero  emission  electricity.

•  California  public  funding  is  scheduled  to  decline  •  CALSTART  is  working  on  a  separate  iniRaRve  to  sustain  the  funding  state  incenRves  for  EV’s  and  infrastructure.

•  Cost  and  range  are  the  two  biggest  barriers  for  the  EV  movement.    EV  Employer  IniRaRve  will  address  the  range  issue.      CALSTART’s  policy/incenRves  work  will  address  the  cost  issue.
