SAFETY

Most recently, the FDA has concluded that there are no significant safety concerns with using Nicorette or NicoDerm CQ and a cigarette together. TESTIMONIAL
“I had smoked for 35 years, average of 1 to 2 packs a day. I have tried the medications, the patch, gums, etc., many times through the years. Finally, a couple of years ago a friend offered me the Commit lozenges. I really wanted to quit this time, so I tried them. I was able to give up smoking. But, I continued to crave so I bought the gum and have alternated between the gum and lozenges every since. I don't want to go back to smoking and have yet to find anything that says how bad it is to continue the gum, so as long as I am not smoking and still want a cigarette every now and then, I will continue to chew the gum, as needed.”

TESTIMONIALS
“Works real well. I have been smoke- free for 8 months. Definitely recommended if you are serious about quitting.”
-B. Michaels
“I was able to quit smoking with this gum. I was 2-pack/day smoker for 40+ years and found the gum tastes good and the nicotine was enough to take the edge off those cravings. I had tried several other methods to quit, but the gum was the only one that worked. I'm happily a non-smoker now.”
-Timmy Smith
TESTIMONIALS
“I decided to give the Nicorette 4mg Gum a try after reading the Amazon review by A. Creech "Kitchen Collector." It's been 9 weeks into the 12-week program and I haven't had a cigarette since. More importantly, I haven't had the cravings either.”
- Alex Honda
“I'm an ex-smoker. The mint gum is particularly pleasing and I do use it as a fall back when overcome by the urge to smoke. Rarely now. But I would not want to be without this item.”
- Evan Maddox
DOSAGE OPTIONS
If you smoke your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up, use the 4 mg strength.
If you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use the 2 mg strength.
HOW IT WORKS
When you chew Nicorette Gum or suck on a Nicorette Lozenge or mini Lozenge, a low level of nicotine is absorbed through the lining of your mouth to help relieve cravings. By helping to reduce your nicotine intake and focus on changing your behaviors, Nicorette can double your chances of successfully quitting.

RECENT CHANGES IN LABELING
The changes that FDA is allowing to these labels reflect the fact that although any nicotine-containing product is potentially addictive, decades of research and use have shown that NRT products sold OTC do not appear to have significant potential for abuse or dependence.
The changes being recommended by FDA include a removal of the warning that consumers should not use an NRT product if they are still smoking, chewing tobacco, using snuff or any other product that contains nicotine—including another NRT.
The FDA also withdrew the former belief that Nicorette could only be used short term. There is no evidence showing that it is harmful to continue use.

OTHER HELPFUL HINTS
• Use the “Chew and Park” method: Chew Nicorette gum slowly. When you start to feel a tingling sensation, park the gum between your teeth and cheek and let it remain there until you notice the tingling subsiding. Then, chew again. Repeat the process until the tingle is gone (about 30 minutes).
• If you experience strong or frequent cravings, you can chew a second piece of nicotine gum within the hour, but you should not continuously chew one piece after another.
