    To Create the Folder Games:Print the Game PagesPlace the Game Pages in plastic pockets and insert into your Early Elementary Folder in order Print the Game CardsCut the Game Cards apart along the linesLaminate or cover the Game Cards as desiredPlace the Game Cards into the appropriate Game Page plastic pocket

    Extra materials:Erasable/Whiteboard markersGame tokensGlass beads, buttons or discs9 dice

    Tones & Semitones Instructions: Learning Game - Roll It, Write It, Find It and Count It

    1. Roll 1 die three times and write the first interval note that corresponds to the values shownon the die faces on the music staff.

    2. Repeat Step 1 to discover the second interval note and write it above the first interval noteon the music staff.

    3. Find the interval notes on the keyboard keys.4. Write down the number of semitones and tones between the interval notes.5. Repeat Steps 1 to 4 until the game page has been completed.6. Wipe the game page clean when completed.

  • Remember Game - Semitone, Tone and Interval Bingo1. Players select a Bingo card and shuffle the Semitone, Tone and Interval Game Cards and place

    them in a pile face down between the players.2. Player 1 turns over 2 cards from the game card pile and decides in which order they are going to

    place the interval notes shown on the game cards.3. Player 1 determines the name of the interval and the number of tones and semitones between the

    interval notes and crosses all three of these squares off their Bingo Card.4. Player 2 repeats Steps 2 and 3.5. Play continues until one player has crossed off all the squares on their Bingo card and called

    "Bingo".VariationFor a quicker game determine the semitones, tones and intervals of the notes shown on the game cards in both orders.

    Remember Game - Semitones and Tones Keyboard Race

    1. Players place their tokens at one end of the keyboard.2. Player 1 rolls two dice. If the total dice roll is an even number, the Player moves their token the

    number of semitones along the keyboard equal to the dice total. If the dice total is an oddnumber, the Player moves their token the number of tones along the keyboard equal to the dicetotal. The player names the key.

    3. Player 2 repeats step 2.4. The winner is the first player to reach the other end of the keyboard or the designated finish

    line.

    Apply Game - Semitones and Tones Roll It, Write It and Play It 1. The Player rolls 7 dice and circles one squares that correspond to the value shown on each

    die face.2. The Player selects a clef and writes their starting note on the music staff and subsequent

    notes according to the instructions in the squares that they rolled and circled.3. The Player plays the notes written on their card on the piano.4. Wipe the game card clean when completed and repeat.
