A Search Engine is like a Big Directory giving you links to websites on the internet
computer program that searches a computer program that searches for specific words and returns a list of documents in which they were found, especially a commercial Internet service
Search Engine, software program that helps users find information stored on a personal computer, or a network of computers, such as the Internet. A user enters search terms, typically by typing a keyword or phrase, and the search engine retrieves a list of World Wide Web (WWW) sites, personal computer files, or documents, either by scanning the content stored on the computers or computer networks being searched or by parsing (analyzing) an index of their stored data. The Mozilla Public License (MPL) is an open source and free software license. Version 1.0 was developed by Mitchell Baker when she worked as a lawyer at Netscape Communications Corporation and version 1.1 at the Mozilla Foundation.[1] The MPL is characterized as a hybridization of the modified BSD license and GNU General Public License. The MPL is the license for the Mozilla Application Suite, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird and other Mozilla software. Adobe has announced it will use MPL to licence its Flex product line by the end of 2007. The MPL has been adapted by others as a license for their software, most notably Sun Microsystems, as the Common Development and Distribution License for Open Solaris, the open source version of the Solaris 10 operating system.
