INTRODUCTION CHARLES SMISSAERT

Charles Smissaert (1969) is the General manager of Botlek Tank Terminal.

Prior to joining Botlek Tank Terminal, Charles Smissaert held various commercial, technical and operational positions at Vopak in the Netherlands and other countries.

Prior to joining Vopak, he worked for Bluewater Energy Services as Business Development Manager in Singapore and Project Manager and Proposal Engineer in the Netherlands.

Charles Smissaert has a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology

BOTLEK TANK TERMINAL

Botlek Tank Terminal is a 50/50 joint-venture of HES Beheer and Noble Group (www.btt-rotterdam.nl)

Botlek Tank Terminal just finalized phase one of building a state of the art tank terminal in the port of Rotterdam.

The first phase has just become operational and comprises of 130.000 CBM for clean fuels and 70.000 CBM for edible oils and Biodiesel.

A second phase, which will be constructed on reclaimed land, will add another 350.000 CBM for clean fuels is planned to be operational by 2014.

INTRODUCTION MARTIN KEULEMANS

Martin Keulemans (1967) is co-founder and managing director of Brainum BV, a Dutch provider of management software for Liquid Bulk Terminals. Brainum was established 6 years ago, as a spin-off from a large Liquid Bulk Storage company.

Prior to starting Brainum, Martin Keulemans joined Capgemini for more than 10 years, during which he held various positions in Account – and Project Management.

After obtaining a master degree Mechanical Engineering at Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands), Martin worked for Grundfos, a world-wide leading manufacturer of pumps.
