Learnings from the implementation so far :

• The opportunity for starting individual enterprises, as against group enterprises, has generated significant enthusiasm amongst potential entrepreneurs

• 70% of entrepreneurs belong to 30-50 age category; 40% from 40-50 age category

• More than 90% of entrepreneurs are women SHG members

• 91% of the Entrepreneurs were Home Maker or NREGS workers

Learnings from the implementation so far :

• Experience so far shows that given support and convincing framework for future support, people are willing to take risk, mobilize own resources and start enterprises.

• Saturation approach likely to bring up at least a small percentage of enterprises with growth potential

• Individual enterprises working as collectives for harnessing larger opportunities is already happening

2. existing eco-system for supporting Micro enterprises and

3. the opportunities available for creating and sustaining these

enterprises.

READINESS OF THE SRLM

I. SRLM Livelihoods Team

Availability of dedicated livelihoods team at state level.

Yes. Seven experienced livelihoodpersonnel at the SRLM. Willrecruit dedicated person for SVEP.

Availability of dedicated livelihoods team at proposed block level with the competencies as specified for SVEP.

KS doesn’t have any block levelstructure. But for each SVEPblock one BPM SVEP will berecruited.

If new recruitments have to be done for SVEP, bywhat date SRLM would appoint the livelihoodsprofessional with the desired competency at theblock ?

BPM SVEP will be appointedwithin 2 months of projectapproval.
