Any State and Nationally affiliated member can take part in Power of One

In other words-if you have paid your dues

What is a Power of One Project?

An individual activity you create to reach a personal goal. Projects must involve in-depth effort.

Power of One has five units

1. A better you-improve on a personal trait

2. Family Ties-get along better with family members

3. Working on working-explore and prepare for careers

4. Take the lead-develop leadership qualities

5. Speak out for FCCLA-tell others about the organization

How do I do Power of One?

1. Identify a personal goal2. Choose a participation level3. Plan a project using the five step planning

process4. Meet with your advisor5. Complete your project6. Submit your project to your advisor7. Get recognition

What recognition?

Level one projects-you get a ribbon Level two projects-you get a pin Complete all five units-get a t-shirt form

local FCCLA, get recognized at our regional banquet, get your name in TEEN Times, also you get national recognition at the summer conference and state conference.

How much time do I have to spend? Your first deadline for this power of one is

October 8th. We will work on them part of the week next week. They will be due when you come to class October 8th.
