GulangFestTomorrow night we celebrate GulangFest from 5:00pm at The Entrance Senior Campus of TLSLC. Parents and friends are most welcome

to join in this cultural celebration with a free sausage sizzle that commences at 3:30pm. We look forward to seeing the Koori Choir

perform, the presentation of awards to students, a display of artworks from each school and an opportunity to see our students

perform. 

Student Leaders 2020This is an exciting time of year as our Year 5 students are preparing their campaigns for student leadership 2020 roles. We look forward

to hearing from and voting for these students in the near future, with captains and vice-captains announced at our Stage 3 Presentation

Day (10th December, 2020). We wish all these students the very best in their leadership campaigns.

Tuggerah Lakes Learning Community (TLLC)Our school is a proud member of the TLLC, which incorporates all the public primary and secondary schools bounded by: Chittaway Bay

PS on the West, The Entrance PS on the North and Wamberal PS on the South. Wamberal sta� participate in a range of initiatives and

professional learning on an ongoing basis. There is also a range of student opportunities o�ered each year within the learning

community.

This week, we are focusing on being safe, respectful learners in the toilet areas. Teachers will be rewarding students with SRLs for

demonstrating safe, respectful learner behaviour throughout the week.

Emergency ProceduresOur school regularly practices emergency drills including lockdown and evacuation procedures. Visitors to our site are required to

follow the directions of sta� whilst on our site and in the case of any drill. For your information, please familiarise with the two types of

alarms, the evacuation routes and the location of our visitor toilets.

Parent and Volunteer InductionWamberal Public School welcomes parent and volunteer support of our teaching and learning programs. Activities include supporting in

classrooms, excursions, group tutoring, canteen and community events.

Parents and carers who wish to volunteer in any capacity are required to complete an annual induction.

Before working with students, parents and carers need to complete a one o� face to face workshop and associated declarations and

identity checks.

All parents and carers must complete the following annually:

an annual online induction (https://wamberal-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/about-our-school/rules-and-policies/working-with-children-

check-wwcc.html) workshop;

the DoE Prohibited Employment Declaration forms;

Code of Conduct forms; and

provision of 100 points of ID for identity checks.

The online induction and associated documentation are available for download from our school website.

All parents and carers are welcome to attend the face to face workshop being held in the school hall tomorrow (Thursday 21.11.19) at

9:40 a.m.

Week 6 is the �nal week for student borrowing. Students will need to return all books during Week 7. Please return all overdue items as

soon as possible. Where borrowed items cannot be found, please pay the identi�ed cost for their replacement at the front o�ce. 

Scholastic ‘Book Club’ Issues 7 & 8Book Club Issue 7 orders will be delivered tomorrow and Issue 8 brochures will be sent home on Friday. Issue 8 will be the �nal Book

Club for this year and orders will close 2nd December. If your order is a surprise for your child, please mark it as a ‘GIFT’ and it will be

held at the front o�ce for collection by you.

Banding TogetherOn Friday 15th of November, students from Wamberal Public School attended Banding Together at Wyong Race Club. Our school

was joined by students from other schools around the Central Coast to learn and perform four new songs. Students participated in

tutorials before coming together to perform for families and friends at the end of the day.
