Kakia Konstantinaki
I’m an architecture graduate and I recently graduated with a distinction in MA in Communication Design, from Central Saint Martins. I’ve been mainly working as a 3D visualiser and graphic designer. Among my various projects, I’ve done work for Paris Fashion Week and taken part in London Design Festival 2015, with my project Hyper-Opera.

GIVENCHY’S FASHION SHOW FALL 2016PARIS FASHION WEEK
3D Visualisation
For this project I’ve been asked to model and render the interior space of Paris Event Centre and the concept idea for Givenchy’s fashion show taking place during Paris Fashion Week.
Working closely with the creative director of production company Gainsbury & Whiting, I managed to meet this very tight deadline and create the desired images. Lighting of the scene, rendering images, ploting clients design into the space using photographs of the existing space, post-processing and retouching images to match clients preferences are some of the tasks I had to carry through this project.

A BUILDING FOR THE ART OF PERFORMANCE
Final Year Design Thesis, Technical Univeristy of Crete | Architectural Design | 3D Visualisation
Is it possible to create a space for the live art of performance, when at the same time this kind of art can happen anywhere? What would be the reason, with what means, where and how would a space like that exist?
This design thesis, aims to answer these questions, having accepted the challenge that lies with that attempt. What resulted is a building without any strict functional definition, yet with a notable character. A building in the heart of Athens, existing as the medium through which we come in contact with the contemporary art of performance.
Starting from scratch and motivated by our own experience of the art of performance, we tried to create a baseline for our design process. Theoretical approaches of the notion of performance, as well as those of performative architecture became our reference points. Whereas, typologies and meanings of performative arts spaces gave us our design tools.
Trough our own interpretation of theabove, we tried to imagine a building that could stimulate reactions and thoughts, not
only through its spatial experience, but most importantly through its content. The selection of our site is also of great importance, for it holds meanings and characteristics significant for our design.Given the grave social crisis, this building, designed from the heart, expresses the need and desire for social, political, architectural as well as personal change. Either on its own, or as a means to the catharsis that art can offer.
In conclusion, our building is the product of an experimental design process that attempts, with whit, humor and sensitivity, to be clear and consistent to the original goals, without it being the sole possible answer.v

LIBRARY AT CHANIA
Academic Project, Technical Univeristy of Crete | Architectural Design | 3D Visualisation
The brief was to design a library at a hill site next to Chania city, in Greece. The idea behind this building lies in the way which it communicates and connects with its environment and, at the same time , it turn its back on it, in order to create private and quite spaces for its users.

SCHOOL FOR THE MASSES temporary structure |addition to existing building
Academic Project, Technical Univeristy of Crete | Architectural Design | 3D Visualisation
Within the area of the university’s architectural department design a temporary and transformable structure as an extension to the existing building.
We decided to design a metallic structure which is easy to assembly. it is the same scale as the existing building and on which we can hang or place containers of different sizes. The whole system is a sustainable structure. The spaces created are transformable and change according to the needs. They consist of design studios, exhibition spacesand an outdoor theatre.

HYPER - OPERA
MA Thesis, Central Saint Martins | 3D Animation
Animation videos created for the purposes of Hyper-Opera, an online digital opera revisiting the story of the Odyssey. Both of the videos presented here illustrate myths of two of the women characters of the opera, Eris and Aphrodite.

MA COMMUNICATION DESIGNDEGREE SHOW EXHIBITION DESIGN
3D Visualisation | Central Saint Martins
At the end of my final year at Central Saint Martins, I found my self designing the exhibition for the MA Communication Design’s Degree Show.
Working closely with Guglielmo Rossi, Rebecca Ross and the rest of the curation and identity group, I came up with a system of relationships, which managed to create links among 50 students’ works and consequently allowed us to place each one of them into the actual space of the Lethaby gallery.
