POLYKEN 2036 HIGH TEMPERATURE/HIGHSHEAR RESISTANT ANTI-CORROSION JOINTWRAP COATING (200F)

BASIC USE:

Polyken 2036 is a primary anti-corrosion joint wrap designed for use in field coatingapplications. 2036 joint wrap tape provides superior bond strength to primed steel, has acontinuous operating service temperature up to 200F, and has excellent conformabilitywhen applied to pipe. Polyken 2036 tape consists of a special polyethylene with very highresistance to environmental stress cracking combined with an engineered butyl alloybased adhesive, which cures when the coated pipeline begins operating at its elevatedtemperature. This curing gives superior resistance to shear and soil stress. Polyken 2036has proven in-ground success against chemical and electrolytic corrosion, due to thecombined effects of the polyethylene and butyl adhesive components. Polyken 2036 is ahigh temperature coating which will have satisfactory performance up to 200F continuousoperating temperature. This product should be used with a special high shear Polykenprimer, such as 2019, 2027, or 2029.
