February / March 2020, Polish American News - Page 13 Congratulations Danuta Eichler On December 15, 2019, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, Danuta Eichler, Director of St. Adalbert Polish Language School in Philadelphia, PA, received the National Education Commission Medal, an award given for special services to education. It was presented to her by Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Poland, Kamil Henne, for her 31 years of achievement as a teacher in Poland and the United States. Danuta taught at elementary and high schools in Rzeszow, Poland for 18 years, was a German language teacher at Immanuel Lutheran School in Philadelphia and taught at St. Adalbert Polish Language School, which she serves as the director since 2013. She also works as a director of a preschool in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia during the week. Congratulations and much sucess are extended to Danua Eichler from the Polish American Congress, Eastern PA District, Polish American Cultural Center Museum in historic Philadelphia, along with St. Adalbert Polish Language School.
