Graduated from Ricks College in 1941 - member of band, orchestra and choir . . . student director of all three organizations and Music Department representative on Student Council. 1941-42 Elementary school teacher - Parker, Idaho. 1942-1946 U. S. Army . . . original assignment vlith a 11 Stage Band" at Fort Douglas. Transferred to combat unit in late 1942. Organized Bands aboard ship enroute to Europe. Then in occupation forces, organized a Battalion Band in Neustadt en dem Orla. Served as combat commander during hostilities. Released from the service as a Captain. Graduated from Brigham Young University in 1947 with AB Degree in Broad­castin�, with mino� in Music, Education, and German. During time at BYU, organized, put on the air, and acted as first Manager of KBYU Radio. During months at BYU, prepared and narrated a series of 15 hour-long programs featuring alternately the BYU Symphony Orchestra with Professor Leroy Robertson, plus various choral and instrumental groups. All programs were broadcast on KSL Radio. Subsequent to graduation from BYU, my career has been in broadcasting, serving in various positions. From 1950 to 1961, General Manager of radio stations in Twin Falls and Idaho Falls, Idaho. In 1960 opened eastern Idaho 1 s first Travel Agency, which has grown to one of the largest in the intermountain area, and which I still own and manage. Since 1961 I have been a stockholder and Sales Manager of KID-TV. 1965 recipient of the BYU Department of Communications Distinguished Service A\·Jard. Throughout the years in business I have been extremely active in professional ,. service club, and community affairs, serving on many boards and committees. The list \•/Ould be more lengthy and boring than the above.
